I find the character of SecUnit 03, a.k.a. Three, intriguing from a storytelling perspective. It is ‘tabula rasa’ in ways that Murderbot is not and cannot be. This takes place during the little-described period of waiting at the end of Network Effect, and will almost certainly be non-canon after System Collapse comes out.
Heed the tags. Three will find its way in the end (because that is how I roll), but it has not escaped the Corporation Rim unscathed. There will be pain, fear, self-doubt, depression, and one very bad decision as Three stumbles its way out of the past.

“Is this how you found yourself here?” The droid’s head tilts quizzically; something in it reminds him of Bee. “Shot and shut down and rebuilt in a strange new place?”
There’s a pause he’d call baffled, except the droid doesn’t move an inch, its gaze resting unwaveringly on Cassian’s face as he pulls deep gulps of the water. “You are not a droid,” is all it eventually points out.
“And you’re not an Imperial anything, no matter what that crest on your shoulder plate claims.”
The head tips back the other way. “I am Kay-Two-Ess-Oh.” Cassian sketches a sardonic salute before bracing himself and starting to lever his body more upright, ribs protesting quite adamantly with the motion. “You are Lieutenant Joreth Sward; except perhaps you are not.”
That at least gives him pause; if they’ve already sorted that for themselves, maybe his hopes of extracting himself from this place are rising considerably.

Kleya scoffed. Truthfully, he deserved every ounce of her derision. “Or the ISB is taking their time painting a very detailed picture and placing all of their assets, so that when they do strike, they can sweep it all up at once.”
It wasn’t a headache, really. An insistent, escalating pressure, the weight of his own compromise, all of the allowances he’d made for Cassian Andor from the first they met and fought their way out of the warehouse on Ferrix. To the moment he’d offered himself up, begged to be killed or to be made useful; and how Luthen had used, without hesitation or remorse.
He couldn’t decide if it bothered him more, to think himself capable of misjudgment so severe, or to think Andor capable of such skillful and protracted betrayal.

She’d wonder at Luthen’s confidence to bring him on and bring him in so abruptly, so absolutely, were it not for the fact that he reminds her first and foremost of Luthen himself. Passionate conviction forever at odds with cold calculation.
She wonders where on that spectrum Luthen had found himself in the moment the plan changed. She looks at him, at the bracing anticipation for arguments to come, for the richly-deserved dressing-down, and absolves him with a simple question: “All in?”
His instincts were good; he’d known what he was after, in securing the final missing piece of the puzzle for Aldhani.
Perhaps he’d simply been too early.

Refusing to repeat the mistake of 30 years ago, the family becomes stranded in the multiverse, stuck without a clear path home. Stan's got his brother back, at least, but Stanford isn't the same as Stan remembers. Looks the same, sure, talks the same, absolutely - but he's got a 'professional working relationship' with Bill Cipher that Stan'd really rather not interrogate, and seems to have changed his whole vibe from Virgin Loser, to Space Cowboy Wizard; Which isn't all that different, now that Stan thinks about it.
Stan and Ford must now find a way to kill Bill, get the family back to Earth, and try to keep the ghosts of their past from tearing them apart. Again. Same boat, different planks, and neither one can deal with their own reflection in the water.
Well, whatever. They can handle this.

When Ben leaves Bandomeer, it's after an unexpected rescue from an unruly group of pirates. When the Clone Wars breaks out, it's the perfect opportunity to make big profits so long as one keeps their head down and stays neutral.
