Apokuna had said it so simply, so seriously, after Cherri had wandered too close to the outer gates weeks ago. No teasing, no dramatics, just a promise delivered like an unbreakable fact.
Cherri had laughed then, waved it off like it meant nothing.
Now it echoed in her head, looping like a song she couldn’t stop humming. Each repetition made her heart flutter just a little more, made the balcony feel a little too far away from the training yard below.
Her gaze lingered on Apokuna once more.And that was when an idea, terrible, wonderful, absolutely reckless, sparked to life.

Summary
The age-old tactic of barricading yourself in a 1x2 hole in the ground is a good last resort when you're overwhelmed by mobs. A final effort to make it through the night. Tried and true.
But it turns out, fitting into such a limited space with another person is a bit more tricky.
During the one night Bdubs can't find his bed to skip to the morning, he and Etho find that out the hard way.

An unfamiliar feeling welled in Grian's chest. It felt as if a balloon, filled by emotion, was gradually expanding, taking over the place where his heart should be.

Thump thump thump.
Heavy bass rippled through the water in time with Scar’s heart, each wave of the music sending a sharp pain through his skull. He hated the way it reverberated through him, the way it seemed to overpower any other sound. He flicked his fins anxiously, straining his ears beyond the thudding bass to listen for his cue. They were about to start talking about him, and he had to mold into his performance. Smile like how the humans do, make sure his eyes sparkle, make sure the light hits his tail just right so that his skin shone.
A shrill beep sliced through the water and he flicked his tail sharply, sending himself through the surface. The sound multiplied, hammering against his ears, but he ignored it, flashing a smile towards the audience. He turned in the air and dove back into the water, whipping around surface again. His tail ached, but he couldn’t devote any attention to it. He had to keep performing.

The citizen went slack, and Grian and Jimmy watched as they stared towards the source of the light, the crystal around their neck lifting as though gravity had no hold on it. They followed soon after it, feet leaving the floor as they rose higher and higher, the light growing brighter as they did.
As the citizen rose higher, nearly reaching the swirling carved faces, and the shields rose to meet them. As they did so, Grian watched as the head Watchers threw their arms over their faces to block their sight. He realized what they were doing in a flash, throwing his sleeve over his eyes and turning away.
“Jimmy, don’t look!” He shouted, but he was too late, the light grew to an excruciating brightness even with his eyes covered, and the ground shook violently beneath them, pitching them to the floor.
And with that, the city of Atlantis sunk beneath the sea.

Summary
The Coastal Laboratory for Abnormal Wildlife Studies has found themselves in possession of a live, captive, and dangerous siren—something previously unheard of in the scientific community. Doc, one of their top researchers, is assigned leadership of the study on Specimen 9201223, later nicknamed ‘Martyn’.
Over the course of the project’s run, he and the siren develop an intense rivalry that eventually mellows into a far more complex relationship, as Doc discovers that Martyn is far more human than they’d initially assumed.
Unfortunately, the rest of the organization does not have the siren’s best interests at heart. As Doc grows closer to Martyn, he finds himself forced into increasingly-risky decisions in the name of protecting him, trying to prove his humanity to people who only see a monster.

Getting used to Hermitcraft had already been hard enough. Grian has only been part of the group for a couple months, but he was already infatuated with the chaos. Hell, he embraces it. It's been years (after the loss of his family, his old smp, his humanity), and he's eager to make new friends. Hermitcraft accepts him with open arms, and he fits right in - no surprise to anyone.
But then things get harder. Not pranks weird, either. (Weird in an inability to sleep, a constant aching in his back, a longing for anyone nearby all times of the day, and seriously, why does Grian keep stealing clothes?!)

Performance Issues, HotGuy?
By GrianIn recent weeks, HotGuy has been leaving much to be desired on the battlefield. It seems after many long, hard fights, he just can’t keep it up. He used to be quite anal about his victories, but now he’s had a few close calls. Could it be that his arrows just aren’t what they used to be? Is he firing blanks? I wouldn’t be surprised if his enemies are having to fake their defeat. Of course, HotGuy is far from the only man who struggles to hit the target, so maybe I shouldn’t be so harsh.
Three of HotGuy’s record fights for injuries and collateral damage have all occurred this month, an alarming statistic in the face of the continued attacks. The root of the issue may be difficult to swallow…Series

Summary
He sighed, shifting slightly on the large branch he had settled on for the night. Sometimes being a smaller Avian had its benefits. He had his arms pulled around his head acting as a pillow as he laid fully lengthwise down the branch. The bark hurt a bit, but his loose clothes covered him up pretty well. Along with that, he kept his wings wrapped around himself, which made sure he was nice and warm.
or: newly escaped Avian Grian has been chilling in this calm, beautiful forest for a few weeks now. Sleeping and living with the animals as he relearns about the world around him. But what happens when a forest nymph and vampire find him in their forest? Possibly, a bit too much for him to handle.
