"I’m not scared of you,” Jason snarled, scrubbing his nonstick pan ferociously, "I've already been working cases with you fuckers for months.”
Dick scoffed, "You talk a big game, but I'd bet money that you couldn't last a week in civvies with us.”
"Yeah? How much?"
“Five hundred thousand buckaroos.”
With those words, an idea sparked to life. Jason had a lot of problems, but a load of bat-money could solve the most pressing of them. “Are you fucking with me?” Jason turned to glance at Dick over his shoulder.
“I’m being so serious right now.”
Against his better judgement, Jason shook Dick’s proffered hand firmly. "You’re on, Dickface.”
OR: Jason, desperately in need of some cash, has no choice but accept Dick's foolhardy bet. If he can spend a week in the manor, attending every family dinner, without getting kicked out, he wins. Secretly, Dick is hoping that Jason can learn to fit back into their little family in the process.

Summary
Danny wasn't sure what to do with his life (Half-life? Death?) anymore, but maybe the joining Justice League will be just what he needs.
Now Danny just has to overcome Batman's paranoia and show him that he's more than a sassy, overpowered entity, fight off Wonder Woman's worry, and deal with Superman's cowardice. Luckily Flash is pretty cool, even if he can't keep a secret.
What's that, oh now there are ghost attacks... Great, guess it's his problem now. And here comes his unresolved trauma knocking on the door along with his hero complex and a boatload of guilt. Sure, being Ghost King is a lot, along with being a superhero, but surely things will work themselves out. All Danny can do is hope that things don't blow up in the process.credits for the inspiration of this little intro to the amazing commenter Dandelion_Blues, who sent me a little thing that turned into this. Danny Phantom High king of the infinite realms, ghost king, defeater of tyrants, guardian of the vile, embodiment of balance, rumoured ancient in the making.
Danny is a protector spirit, though not for a place, no he will protect his people to the very end. the people he rules sure but more importantly, more intimately his fraid. more pressingly his beloved knight who thinks he dose not deserve care.
Jason has a fire core, a hearth fire to be specific. he is hearth and home and care. and his stupid king thinks he can just run himself into the ground because 'people need him' and he has 'infinite work' like he doesn't have infinite time to do it, like the realms haven't been self sufficient for thousands of years.

What if Jason actually stayed as competent as he was in Lost Days and Under the Hood, and actually reacted to his (ex-)dad slicing his neck open?
What if Bruce actually got taken to task (eventually) for being abusive?
What if people actually decided to talk to each other, and listened to what the other person was saying?But really, it's: what if Jason had a support system; and what if Jason had someone tell him that violence is not how you solve all societal problems.
(And what if I decided that the narrative would be on Jason's side as much as DC's narrative is on Batman's)
(Also, the series is only called Alley Business because I wrote that one first)Incomplete (and the total word count is half of what it says - the chronological order fic doubles it)

Not sure how to phrase my thoughts
This is one of the best fics/series I’ve ever read
It’s not exactly a ‘fun’ read most of the time even if isn’t really a sad/dark/angsty one either (not to say it’s never those things either), it’s not the type of thing I usually read. I’m not sure if I’m going to end rarely ever rereading this or rereading it constantly.
This actually made me think, not just like about the fic (that too) but like in general -

Summary
After Tim was kidnapped as a civilian, Damian kills his rapist and Bruce isn’t happy about it, but he doesn’t care. He doesn’t regret breaking Batman’s number one rule if it means his brother is safe from the filth.
When Damian points out how Bruce is a hypocritical bastard and abusive to his children, Bruce hit him.
And that was only the tip of the iceberg to finally get the Bats to say “Fuck this” and leave.

Or in which Shoto is half ghoul with constant problems, Keigo had no idea he wanted a family, and Touya just wanted what was best for his abused baby brother.

Summary
Izuku Midoriya was sick of the bullies and the discrimination. Katsuki Bakugo was sick of everything else.
One day, they were minding their own business, wandering the street after running away, when a classmate decided to pick a fight. Two strangers show them kindness. Izuku and Katsuki have a choice between semi-safety with the league of villains, or lives as homeless kids. The answer was clear.
After Magne's death, Himiko, Izuku, and Katsuki get sent to help overhaul. They decide to deflect from the league and raise a young girl on their own, with the help of a fed up Dabi, or Touya Todoroki.
They live life on the run as the league chases them as well as the Yakuza. Never staying in one place more than a few weeks. Deku, the Vigilante with hacking and analysis skills, Himiko, the Vigilante who's skilled with a knife, Katsuki, the vigilante, who refuses to use his explosions, and Dabi, the Vigilante who wants nothing more than to protect the kids, not that he'd ever admit that of course.
Follow along as these 5 misfits try and find home, their small family growing in size as other troubled kids get tossed to the side. As well as hero's?
