“Can you please move?” Ben murmured, already irritated. A moment passed with no movement. “Hassan, get off of my chair or I'm going to deck your ass.” A glare from Brooklyn got him to take his rightful spot on the couch.
It was a firm boundary. The only people allowed to touch his wheelchair were his mother, the camp fam and medical professionals. He made exceptions when necessary. Now was not one of those times. His chair was an extension of him, while he didn't fully rely on it, it helped him function when needed. And the only person who could lean on it like that was Kenji. It was intimate. His mobility aids were sturdy but they were expensive and all it took was someone, especially someone as huge as Hassan, to break something and cost him hundreds of dollars in repairs.

Summary
A loud knock at his door right before it opens distracts Billy from the book in his hands. It’s a distinctive knock, so he knows who it is before they even step into his room, and he’s already on high alert before his father’s face greets him. The man has a scowl on his face as he looks at Billy, who is lounging across his bed, the paperback in his hand lowered and resting against his stomach now.
There’s a subtle twisting in the pit of his stomach, always happens when his dad is around or comes looking for him, because Billy can never know if his confrontations are going to end in good or bad. Rarely it’s ever good.
“Your mother,” Neil speaks in that calm tone of his, though there is something else there, brewing beneath the surface making him sound a little tense, “is on the phone. She wants to speak to you.”

Billy does not stop until all three of Will's assailants are unconscious and then he turns his eyes on a wide-eyed Will. "You alright kid?" Billy asks, reaching out a bloody hand to tip the kids face up so he can get a look at the damage. He has some cuts and bruises but nothing major, nothing Steve cannot patch up for him. "Yeah you're alright." Billy says with a nod to himself, throwing an arm around Will’s shoulders and hauling him closer, leading him over the assholes laying on the ground.
