Summary
Arthur Pendragon is what the dictionary defines as the perfect Alpha, except for one small detail: he hates Omegas. He does not intend to mate with one. Merlin Emrys is an Omega, different from the others: he hates Alphas. He does not consider even remotely bending his existence to the will of the dominant race.

The imprinting works like "love at first sight". After it happens, nothing becomes more important than being with your partner, looking for him and wanting him almost obsessively.
It is like falling in love, but ten times faster. A belonging to each other, realizing they can turn themselves into everything the other needs: a protector, a brother, a friend or a lover.
No suppressors can work against it: the stronger chemistry between the species defeats the chemical industry. The desire becomes need, which in turn becomes domain.
If he saw Arthur again, he was almost certain, given the hormonal reaction of their bodies when they first met, that the imprinting was soon to follow and then the Bond.

That would've been enough, really, but getting 'Prince Lessons' from Arthur Pendragon, Prince of Wales, was a bit too much for Merlin to handle.

Summary
Arthur thought his late mother’s home town Albion was just a dot on the map but when he actually went to the little town to see the Du Bois manor she left him in her will for his twenty-fifth birthday, he never expected himself to become roommates with an annoying and sassy ghost named Merlin who thought it was his life mission to set Arthur on a diet plan. In spite, Arthur called the paranormal investigators Gwaine and Alator to get rid of this little pest. But then, things got even weirder when after warming up to Merlin (alright, they went on a date and yes, Merlin was a ghost back then), he comes back to life in the form of a child (fortunately, only temporary) and switching sides to hunt ghosts with Gwaine, charming the bakers Sefa and Annis along the way with his cute looks.

When Morgana gets wind of his work, she pushes him to publish it, launching him headfirst into the world of publishing where he's introduced to a whole cast of people-- people that seem strangely familiar. That's how he meets Merlin, an illustrator who can portray his characters in an uncanny likeliness.
But not everything that comes with it is good, and as a new familiar figure emerges, Arthur finds himself struggling to hold his life together.

Summary
Merlin Emrys and Arthur Pendragon had been each other's worlds for years when tragedy strikes and Merlin dies from lung cancer. Left alone and grieving, Arthur feels like nothing will ever be the same again, no matter how hard he tries to make the world right again.
Then he receives a letter. An impossible letter that can't be there: a letter from Merlin, detailing plans to send Arthur on the trip of a lifetime around the world Merlin once explored as a kid.
As Arthur struggles through the heartbreak of losing everything dear to him, he learns things he didn't even realise he didn't know. There's scary amounts of responsibility, a lot of drinking, helping (and being helped by) people he had never even met before, as well as learning along the way that maybe life hadn't been as smooth as he thought it had, and most importantly, what it means to be himself.
