The sun was almost gone by the time she made it to the source of the glint, a long, narrow metal box. Unlocked. Easy to open. Inside, a small pack filled with packets of pureed something. Food, from what she'd seen elsewhere, but there was no telling what went into it. Water. A spear taller than she was and surprisingly light.
The inside of the lid was completely covered in writing. Most symbols she had never seen before. One short line looked Yautja.
And a human word. English word.

Looking in the library for something to read, she finds an unexpected book hidden at the back of the shelf: an illustrated copy of 'Fanny Hill, Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure'. Later that night, Henry returns unexpectedly and catches her reading it. He suggests they read it together and wonders if there is any particular part which has aroused her interest.
