There must be obviously something wrong with you, that makes you so undeserving of love, you think for a very long time and when a name appears it is not as you expected it to be. It is blue and written in a computer fond and makes you questioning everything you ever wanted about soulmates.
As the temperatures drop in fall 2038, the Androids rise and while you help your best Android friend to find his place among his people you may also find someone you did not expect to meet in the midst of ice, snow and a revolution.

RK900, the most advanced android CyberLife has to offer, is now himself a full-blown deviant. Connor couldn't be prouder! There's an ever-present, ever-growing need for androids like them (what with rampant anti-android hate crimes and Red Ice distribution growing exponentially). It only makes perfect sense that RK900 work alongside his predecessor, at least it should make perfect sense, but Detective Reed can't fathom why in God's green earth they paired the plastic prick with him.
[Or the one where RK900 is Gavin's partner, and he's having none of it (until he does).]
[This is mainly a Gavin900, by the way, it has a side of HankCon and a dash of Sarkus.]

Instead, opting for something else.
Now, you're back at it; investigating the murders of humans and androids alike. Of course, you have help - well, more like you help them. Lieutenant Hank Anderson and Detective Connor were the ones first assigned the case, you were just added to it.

Upon your arrival, you find that your new unit was previously just a two man crew, led by the rather ornery Lieutenant Hank Anderson and a prototype android that was originally intended to apprehend deviant androids that goes by the name of Connor.
Life is about to get very interesting.

8/27 Notice: I'm going to be doing a bit of an edit soon (fix some typos, some of the general writing) as well as an update. So I just wanted to let you all know that if you give it a reread and think things seem different that yes, I did rewrite some things. Nothing wildly different, just fixing story flow.

Summary
Jeffrey Fowler was a family friend, someone your parents were close to and who was basically part of the family. He was the one who got you a job at his precinct.
When your parents passed away he was your shoulder to cry on, and when he could no longer do that, he gave you a partner. Hank Anderson. The two of you got along well enough but even he couldn’t fill the empty space in your heart. So you overworked yourself, while Hank drank himself to death along side you.
You both were two functioning members of society.
