Chris and Jill are having breakfast at home since it’s their one year anniversary. Once they’re done, Jill watches Chris stand up.
“Wanna dance?” he asks, holding out his hand.
Jill nods, taking it. He helps her up and they start slow dancing. Jill lays her head on Chris’ chest.
“I’m so glad that we get to do this,” Jill says.
Chris hums his agreement. Both of their phones start ringing and Jill groans.
Chris laughs, “Always happens. I’m sorry, my love.”
“It’s fine. We’re both going to have to go.”

“So what’s the plan?” Dustin asks.
Jonathan recognizes the intensity from his time watching the boys play DnD.
“El has to get stronger,” Mike says. “We have an idea on how to do that without One figuring out, we just don’t have all of the details figured out.”
“We have to be prepared for something to come through to try and distract us,” Will adds. “Vecna’s out there. He’s hurt, but he won’t go down without a fight.”
“What’s the idea for getting stronger?” Robin asks. “Like, do we have a solid plan that just needs some minor adjustments or are we basically going off of twelve percent of a plan?”
“More like fifty percent,” El clarifies. “We need to go back to the lab and look for documents that Papa hid. If we find those, they should tell us the fastest way for me to get stronger.”
“So El gets strong enough to defeat Vecna and then the final showdown?” Steve asks. “She beats him and everything’s over?”
Will nods, “That’s the hope, at least.”
“When everything’s settled, we’ll go back to normal,” Mike says.
Or, after the events of the season four finale, everyone's getting ready to continue the fight with Vecna.

Summary
This is an AU that takes place Post-RE2 and is about what would have happened if the government hadn't picked Leon and Sherry up, that Claire had stayed with them for a bit longer before looking for Chris. Follows canon until Post-RE2/3ish timeframe, and then I violently throw canon out of the window.
Nothing rated above a "T" and that will be for language and normal Resident Evil gore/violence. Endgame ships for this series are Cleon and Valenfield. (May add more.)
