Dead people are coming back from the afterlife to their loved ones, flooding the city with regrets yearning to be undone and unspoken words demanding to be heard this time.
Finch doesn't believe in ghosts.
He leaves no comment about miracles.
But John believes it. He knew it existed when the night wind blew strongly against their bodies and the time was counting down; when Harold left on his chest permanently his fingerprints and made it happened.
It's a miracle they're both still breathing.
They might need another one to see what does it mean before the end of everything.

Immortality.
When one thinks of the word in a broader scope, one imagines a freedom to do as one pleases. With death out of the picture, the horizon becomes so vast the possibilities threaten to engulf you. There is no limit, no cages or fear that it will all abruptly end. That you'll blink and a lifetime will flash by. That you'll loose memories of who you were meant to be, or what exactly led you to the present or what that present is.
For you? Immortality is more a cage than a blessing.

Summary
Lucifer and Alastor had only just begun dating when Lucifer informs Alastor that he needs to leave for a couple months to handle some royal duties in the other rings. Just before the king leaves, Lucifer gives Alastor his snake to keep him company, and Alastor sends his shadow to accompany Lucifer on his trip around Hell.
In other words, they outsource their affection and bonding time to third parties.
