Summary
The old stories call David and Michael gods of death. Nearly four centuries ago, hunters separated them, sealing Michael alive in a silver coffin blessed by the pope and burying him beneath a church at the edge of the sea. David escaped. He has been searching ever since.
When Marko finds the location in a notebook disintegrating beneath his hands, David and the boys follow it to a ruined cliff, and the first whisper of static in a mate bond that has been silent for centuries. Michael is still alive. Getting him out of the coffin is only the beginning.
The world remembers them as monsters. David remembers the man he loves, and he refuses to let grief be the only thing left of him.

David smiles. It’s that human sense of scale. The belief that there’s a right order to things, a point in time when it becomes acceptable to know what you want out of life. Ridiculous. David knew he loved Star the moment she pushed him from that billboard, knew he wanted Michael the second that punch connected with his nose.

Summary
Michael Emerson is a wolf.
David, Dwayne, Paul, and Marko are vampires.
None of them know the other knows monsters are real.
This works surprisingly well until Michael, in wolf form, accidentally adopts the Lost Boys as his pack, the Lost Boys become obsessed with figuring out who their enormous moon-eyed beach wolf really is, and Michael discovers that the family “curse” he’s spent his whole life hiding may never have been a curse at all.
Also David keeps petting him.
Michael would like it noted that this is becoming a problem.....

Michael blinked at him, startled.
“Cuz I was dead.” David’s voice sharpened. “We were dead. Burned, staked, drowned. And now…” He gestured around them — the neon, the crowd, the same night replaying itself. “We’re standing here like none of it ever happened. So, tell me, what the hell did you do?”
Michael’s mouth opened, but no sound came out. His heartbeat thundered in his ears.
“I—I don’t…” he stammered, backing up a half-step. “I don’t know, David, I just.......I rode out to the hotel....I screamed until my throat bled. I told you I was sorry. I begged you to forgive me.” His fingers shook as he spoke, his eyes glassy. “And then…Everything went dark, and when I woke up.....I was in the car again. Back at the start. Like none of it happened.”
The silence that followed was heavy, drawn tight.
Paul exhaled slowly. “So… you wished us back?”
“I didn’t mean to!” Michael said quickly. “I didn’t even know I could!"

He felt his legs give in, didn’t know where he was falling to until his back hit water. His mind was becoming fuzzy. Thoughts wouldn’t materialize entirely, instead there was only a constant feeling, glimmers of memories, fear, resentment, jealousy.
