For a moment, the world tilts. Falls back a couple years, like tripping a little way down a staircase. For a moment it’s her in a hospital bed with Hotch’s pinched face tired at the back of the room, arms permanently crossed, thumb worrying incessantly at his fingers. Her abdomen shoots through with phantom pain. The acrid disinfectant smell of the room, of her hands because you can’t get in without sanitizing them — she swallows down the sudden jolt of her chest and folds her arms over each other, drawing closer to reassert to herself that this is him, not her, not this time.
She thinks he’s asleep, nested in a mess of the wires and machines that are keeping him alive, but she moves again and then he looks at her.

Summary
Training with them wasn't much different than hanging out with them. They treated the sessions like they treated everything else, with an odd intensity and an admirable determination to insert a fun time into even the most menial activity. Yeah maybe he was getting his ass handed to him on a regular basis, but he was seeing improvement in himself and he was having a damn good time.
So naturally, being his mother's child, he had to ruin his peace of mind by thinking too hard.
Or the one where Ben is struck with the sudden realization that his partners are capable of incredible, deadly things and he's okay with it. Cue moral crisis.

auradon will never really understand them, not truly, with there old tired eyes, the look that even the adult heroes who lived through there parents torcher could truly get. but they see them the scars at first its the obvious ones a long thin scar on mals right cheek, the slash mark through Jay's lip.
then they see the more hidden ones, if you look in the right light Carlos has fingermarks on his neck, he says it from being strangled if you see evie without any makeup she has stitches marks on her forehead.
the scars are proment but the trama is hidden buryed under the anger and agresshion. Carlos flinches any time someone is angry if they start to yell he covers his head and curls up, Mal doesnt make eye contact she always looks just behind you, Jay cant stop him self from stealing, Evie has never said a good think about her self she belives she is ugly and useless.
