Summary
A grand reinvisioning of the Metroid universe focused around the lives of Samus and Arne, once intended to be Sylux but now branched off into an adjacent character; from the earliest days to every major chapter of their lives as they experience and shape the greatest time of crisis in an aeon. Whether it's grand missions or simple, quiet moments of day to day life, the story is fundamentally about what is like to grow up as a youth in the far future as the status quo crumbles away and far more uncertain and dangerous times await, and what it is like to be born human but raised by alien beings who are all but myth to most and to bear the burden of great expectations.
All comments & feedback welcome. Even the silly ones.
Undergoing fairly extensive rewrites to fix some internal continuity errors. The overall plot won't change though.

In part, this is a reimagining of Samus' childhood with the Chozo. I will be curious to read this to see how it differs from my own attempt to do the same thing. The first chapter seems very faithful to the manga, unlike my story, which attempts to fix the flaws that I see in the manga.

Summary
All Samus wanted after ZDR was a quiet mission so she can collect her thoughts and still get paid. On what was supposed to be a simple survey commission, she is ambushed by Space Pirates and crash lands on an uncharted planet, HYL-628. With no information about this planet, and long range communications cut off by the magical field surrounding the solar system, Samus needs to figure out a way to get back to galactic civilization.
Meanwhile, Zelda is doing her best to rebuild Hyrule after years of Ganondorf's destruction and tyranny. Four years have passed since she sealed him away and sent the Hero of Time back to the past. She has to contend with frayed foreign relations, renegades that used to be loyal to Ganondorf, and now a new threat from the skies that has been abducting people all over the land. The army loyal to her is ill-equipped to handle any of these issues as disaster looms over the fractured and bankrupt Kingdom of Hyrule.
This is a tale of two unlikely characters crossing paths, and how they face disaster together.

Dakuan discovers that there is a Ninth Devil of Kimon, who gifted the other eight with their powers. She is known as the Queen of the Devils and she is after Jubei and Dakuan for defeating her servants. Jubei must face the ghosts of his past to defeat the Queen of the Devils. But the Queen of the Devils has the ability to bring the dead back to life, and uses this as an advantage to use a friend that Jubei failed to save against him.
Adventure/Friendship/Drama/Romance/Supernatural. Pairings: Jubei and Kagero. Rated for violence and language.

This is easily my most experimental post yet: a mockumentary chronicling daily life at Justice League HQ that blends third-person action with direct-to-camera interviews, in the style of The Office. It follows the burgeoning office romance between Shayera Hol (Hawkgirl) and John Stewart (Green Lantern), with a side plot involving Power Girl and Wonder Woman. The year is 235 after the Galactic Advent. Civilizations across the Milky Way, united under the Galactic Federation, now struggle against the enigmatic and unrelenting Space Pirate threat. To combat this foe, the Galactic Federal Police keep watchful outposts in every corner of federally-controlled space. On the savage world known as SR-388, a biologic research team has just discovered something which should have been left forgotten beneath the surface.
This is a retelling of the Metroid story with a focus on worldbuilding and character development. It is also an experiment, being my first narrative work. Summary
Turns out you can't just blow up a planet to make a space-faring species go extinct. Immediately after Samus' mission to ZDR, she finds out that some of the X Parasites survived, and there's no telling where they'll turn up next. And so, though her transformation into a metroid is far from fully halted, she sets out to do what she has always done: finish the mission.
But the X Parasites are not mindless monsters waiting to be gunned down by overwhelming firepower, and if they have their say, the situation will quickly turn into one that an arm cannon can't solve.
