Summary

In L’Manberg, you’re either the predator or the victim. Heroes. Villains. Gangsters. Syndicates. They’re all just different kinds of predators, eating at the carcass of L’Manberg, vying for every scrap of power.
To the northwest, Monarch Eret and his Heroes sit in their crystal Tower, indifferent to the plight of those abused by the systems they defend. In the North Mayor Schlatt and his Peacekeepers brutalise the city until there is no hope. In the East, the Blood God and Crowfather terrorise the city in the name of a nebulous goal that would sooner see the city burn that to let it be at peace.
And in the West, Mexican Dream runs Las Nevadas with an iron fist, the biggest gang in the city, controlling so much of it that it may as well be a new nation.
But all nations fall. That’s just the way of things.

It’s a story about kids forgotten by the system. The Heroes don’t care and the police aren’t your friends. The gangs will eat you up and the Syndicate will destroy your home.
Tommy was forgotten by the man who made him a weapon. Tubbo escaped a lab and lost someone he loved. Fundy’s mother left one day and never came back.
No one ever told them it was possible for things to get better. No one ever showed them a brighter future. No one ever taught them what it meant to be loved and wanted and cared for. L’Manberg never allowed for such.
Maybe, it’s time to change that story.

Seishu’s hand on his chest bunches up his thin shirt over his heart. He’s breathing hard. “You never accepted it as well.”
“We’re a mess. We’ve always been a mess. Barely a functioning person between us.”
A future where Koko and Inupi are happy might not save everyone, but they still deserve each other. It takes a midnight corpse and a burnt pair of heels for them to work through everything unsaid between them.

The Hundred Year War ends because a daughter kills her father. Princess Azula ascends to the throne and chooses peace. The War is over and the Avatar did not bring that peace.
The Avatar is left adrift in a world that might not need him. With faltering steps, the Avatar finds himself and carves out a place for Aang to exist.
The story of Aang learning to be his own person unburdened by the expectations of the Avatar.
