Kurapika requires back-up for a swanky black-tie event where he was told there'd be a lead to another set of Kurta eyes. He enlists the help of Killua and Gon.
But there’s a catch.
“You'll have to act like you're in a relationship.”
Gon tilted his head, confused. “But we are in a relationship. Killua’s my best friend.”
Leorio slapped a hand over his face and Kurapika just sighed, quietly comforted, as he descended deeper into the dark underbelly of society, by the way some things stayed the same.
“No, dummy.” Killua clenched his jaw, closing his eyes in impatience. “We have to pretend to be boyfriends.”
Killua must teach Gon a very particular set of skills.
Too bad Gon's never been that good at faking his feelings.

A decade slips by before Killua and Gon reunite at a close friend’s wedding for the first time since parting ways at the World Tree. There’s a lot to catch up on, even more left unsaid, but not enough hours in the day to talk—and, well, it’s a little awkward, too.
But a last-minute road trip should help fix at least a few of those problems as they take comfort in the fact that, while some things do change, others absolutely stay the same when you have a bond like theirs.

Here's the thing: Mike didn't always believe. Not all the time, not every day.
When he awoke at the hospital, hooked to a host of chirping machines, there was a nurse at his bedside. She said that he had suffered complications from severe shock and his heart had stopped for two and a half minutes. If his sister hadn't performed textbook-perfect CPR on him at the scene, he'd probably be dead.
Mike closed his eyes. His last thought before drifting into unconsciousness again had been: You should have let me go with her, Nancy.
