In the blink of an eye, Tommy goes from leaning on the kitchen counter to right in front of the door and Jack has to bite back a laugh. There’s a gasp and a laugh and a loud grunt before Jack sees Ranboo, completely engulfed by Tommy.
“Oh, thank god.” Phil mutters, rubbing his eyes with the heels of his palms.
Tommy, wrapped up in Ranboo’s arms, whispers something fiercely. Whatever he says makes ranboo chuckle, but the enderman tightens his hold on him just the same.

Tommy has forged himself a life outside of all of them, and he can’t just abandon it at the first sign of his family reforming. That’s just simple logic, and as much as he wants to ignore it and spend just a couple more days in domestic bliss; he has to get back to reality.
Sue him, but he doesn’t think this family shit will last - but can he really be blamed for thinking as much?
Tommy, in his eyes at least, hasn’t had a family in a long time. He lost his brother on November 16th, sure, but he also lost the rest of them; all too caught up in their own grief to stay together. That lost time isn’t something that can be rectified in a week and a couple days, as much as Tommy wishes it was that easy.

His family decides to not even acknowledge the blonde and instead treat him as if he is a stranger and completely ignore him. When Techno and Wilbur move away for college Tommy is left by himself with his father, someone who hadn't even had a conversation with Tommy for years. They both decide to ignore each other. Phil decides to surround himself with his work. Tommy focuses on his dancing career without his father's knowledge.
when Techno and Wilbur come home from college and notice how Tommy isn't the same kid he was when they left him all those years ago so they decide to do some investigating and realize maybe Tommy wasn't the problem. maybe it was themselves.
