It hurt to hear the stress in his voice.
“It’s okay, Dick. You’ve done enough. You’re doing enough.”
“I don’t feel like I’m doing anything.” Dick emphasized.
“Dick,” Jason sighed. Not exasperated. Not disappointed. Maybe a little tired, but mostly just sad. “That’s not true.”
‘You know that’s not true,’ he wanted to add. Except Jason wasn’t sure he did. Dick was one of the smartest people Jason knew, but it was hard to know things no one bothered to teach. So instead, he said, “Dick you’re the strongest person I’ve ever met. What you’ve been through, what you’ve survived. And that’s on top of everything you’ve done as Robin and Nightwing and Batman and shit, everything you’ve done as Dick Grayson.”
There was an unidentifiable shuffling from Dick’s side of the line. At least he was moving. And then he said, “As opposed to what?”

Damn it, what was this? Fear gas? Poison Ivy? Jason hadn't shown any symptoms when they got back from patrol, and his helmet protected him from almost everything. Dick fougth against the black spots dancing in his vision and forced himself to evaluate Jason.
When theis eyes met, he saw it: green. Jason's eyes were glowing faintly green.

“Yes,” Slade snarls, “it meant that you’re an attractive person, and I have eyes. But you’re also a child, and that’s a line I’ve never crossed.”
“So what, you would’ve killed me then, but you won’t fuck me now?” Grayson demands, his hands coming to rest on his hips in a gesture of indignation. He’s so attractive that Slade’s gut twists at the sight of him, and he swallows back a growl that threatens to come out of his throat.
“Yes,” Slade agrees after taking a deep breath, “because I’m a mercenary, not a rapist.”
“For fuck’s sake Slade, I’m not a child anymore! I’m twenty three years old, and I’m perfectly capable of making my own choices.”
And that - that’s true.
