Merlin has survived dragons, destiny, kings, magic-hating monarchs, and the emotional devastation of watching everyone he’s ever loved die.
So really, he thought, a simple trip to the wizarding world for tea couldn’t possibly be that bad.
He was wrong.
Now he’s somehow become the unofficial emotional support adult of Hogwarts, is being hunted by the house-elves because he keeps fixing castle structural problems himself, dealing with a basilisk situation that Merlin is “pretty sure he dealt with once already, back in the 5th century.” and trying to stop Gilderoy Lockhart from deciding that he is his "professional rival."
