Like many of you, I watched the last episodes of X-Men 97 hoping and praying Remy would be back as I imagined, something with Apocalypse, or time travel.
It didn’t happen, so here I am writing this story which is an attempt to erase some Rogneto vibes and make the story completely Romy centered, as it should have been. After all that's what TAS had delivered us, and 97 was a continuation of that, so...
This story will take you back to X-Men ’97 with a twist. What if Gambit’s fate had been different? This will be a romance-driven tale following Rogue as she wrestles with guilt, longing, and the pull of a love she can’t deny. Across stolen moments, buried secrets, ugly fates, Mr. Sinister’s dark schemes and Apocalypse's manipulation of Death, Rogue and Remy’s bond burns hotter than ever. I don't like to give too much plot away in summaries, but expect angst, tenderness, some plot for smut and plenty of Romy goodness while they fight not only enemies, but also the walls around their own hearts.

Zeb brings Kallus to Lira San, where Kallus learns the Lasat people survived and welcomes him into their new community. Hera continues fighting with the Rebellion-now the New Republic-and raises her son, Jacen Syndulla, who shows signs of inheriting both his parents' talents.
Meanwhile, Sabine remains on Lothal, believing Ezra entrusted her with protecting the planet he sacrificed so much to save. Living in his old watchtower, she watches the world rebuild and carries the weight of his absence. Over time, she realizes Ezra didn't intend for her to remain trapped in the past-her true purpose is to find him.
