Derpy's presence was always like a phone call; a subtle connection to someone who most normally often kept themselves at a respectful distance from the life she had lived, but also one who still waited in acceptance for when she'd finally join him in the night. Meetings in the dark with the creature hadn't always felt so empty. In the before, she would have happily accepted the creature's offer to waltz out into the dark with no questions asked, if she knew of course that there would be something waiting for her at the end of the street.
