Wally doesn't budge from the eye contact either. "You told Oracle to track a squirrel for over an hour."
"It looked shifty!" Dick immediately defends, but even he can't hold the smile at the ridiculousness of it.
"It was holding a fry."
or, Wally tries to get Dick to sleep for once in his life.

Buck breathes out a silent laugh. He can definitely see Bobby being told that. He has a steadying presence. He's somehow able to make Buck feel like he's not being annoying when he goes on one of his many rants. Even when Buck's been told over and over again just how useless they are.
Buck shrugs, not sure where he'd even begin.
He turns to look at Bobby, wanting to shift the focus off of himself. “Do you like Christmas?”

Buck’s eyes are mirrors to the emotions Bobby's feeling and he furrows his eyebrows, confused.
“Are you… okay?” Buck asks and—
Oh.
He must be more in tune than he thought.
Walls come down fast, Bobby focuses on projecting cool, calm, collected, and smiles reassuringly at him. “Yeah. I'm all good. You got an emotion you want to try?”

"What are you doing still up?" Buck asks him, entering the kitchen as Harry grabs a coke from the fridge. It's going to be a long night, so Harry gives no fucks about the caffeine right now.
Harry gives Buck a judging look. "I could say the same thing to you."
Buck lightly taps the top of Harry's head. "Hey, I'm your elder. I'm allowed to judge and not be judged. And besides, I'm not the one who has school tomorrow."
Harry doesn't give in that easily. "You literally have work."
Buck stares at him and Harry breaks underneath his gaze.

Summary
When the pointer starts moving, Buck feels his heart rate pick up. His leg stops shaking. He—he's here? He's really here?, maybe… possibly… Buck swallows. Forces himself to breathe through the anticipation. He wonders what Bobby wants to tell him. Wonders if he can hear Buck talk back.
He brings the notepad to his side, writing down the letters as they appear, glancing once or twice at Ravi who doesn’t seem as excited about the prospect of communicating with Bobby. Maybe they weren’t as close.
The first word happens faster than Buck is ready for.
C A L L
“Call?” Buck asks aloud, tilting his head as he tries to think of what Bobby would even be thinking of. Is there any other word that starts with call? Call— Calligraphy? Yeah okay, maybe he just means a phone call…
Before he can second guess himself once more, the pointer moves again.
T
Buck blinks. Flashes of a cleft and sharp, blue eyes. An unfinished breakfast. An unopened bottle of wine.
Buck shakes his head.
(Or the Ouija Board says to call Tommy instead.)

Buck is feeling very nervous. It’s not unusual in and of itself, he had anxiety before he came out of the womb, but today is different. He is not catastrophizing. He is being very rational and trying to think ahead. He spent a long time preparing for today, from the formation of the idea three weeks ago to shopping for materials on his day off, to sneaking around the station with the supplies to work on his gift between calls.
Buck is feeling very nervous. So nervous, in fact, that he doesn’t notice another presence outside his car until someone is knocking on his window. Well, shit.

Summary
Athena shows up at his place one evening, demanding an explanation as to why he and Bobby aren’t talking for the first time in years. Why her husband could only go off of hearsay when she asked whether Buck was alright when he hadn’t come over for their long-standing monthly dinner.
He tells her the truth.
Bobby had decided to leave, months ago, and he isn’t fine with that, actually, despite whatever he’d said in the immediate aftermath, and he needs some space. Some time to figure out how to move on from that.Or; Bobby decides to leave, almost dies, and stays after all. Buck doesn't know what to do with that. Things spiral from there.
