Summary
Access to light, clean bedding, or a warm meal was considered a privilege within the structures of Hydra. A glimpse of these comforts could only be granted to a soldier who followed orders. Peter was not one of them. With his thin limbs, the malnourished twelve-year-old was on the brink of death from exhaustion and starvation. It seemed that his days were numbered, and he himself longed for death. At least, that’s what he believed—until a threat from the outside emerged, the one his superiors had warned him about: the Avengers.
Yet for some unclear reason, this group wanted to save him. Especially Tony Stark, the Merchant of Death, saw something in him that Peter himself could not see. For reasons unknown to Peter, Stark wanted to take care of him and show him that the world still had much to offer.

He’s not a doctor, he’s not a nurse, he’s not cut out for this. He chose to take on this role, and therefore, he feels responsible for aiding Wade, but he is not at all qualified. Had Wade been anyone else, Peter would have gotten them to the nearest hospital. As it is, he’s wondering why he didn’t just do that in the first place. Though thinking on it, Wade goes through enough, waking up surrounded by medical professionals who are gawking at the fact that he’d woken from the dead, probably wouldn’t have been a great feeling for him.

“Just an interview would be good,” Peter said, clearing his throat. “I’m mostly a photographer, not sure I’ve got the interrogator qualifications.”
“Photographer, hmmm. . .well, I can definitely think of a few things you could take a picture of -” Deadpool started, then stopped, lenses narrowing. “Wait a flaming hot second. Peter Parker? Why does that name sound familiar?”
Peter tensed. Had someone figured out Spiderman’s secret identity and sicced a mercenary on him to try and catch him when he wasn’t in costume?
As Peter began to spiral, Deadpool glanced down at the newspaper in his lap, looking at the front page cover. He squinted, pulled the paper closer to his face, and then let out an auditory gasp.
“Holy shit balls, you’re the guy who takes all those hot pictures of Spiderman!”
“Excuse me?” Peter said, torn between relief and confusion.

Bucky has been de-aged and reprogrammed, trying to reintegrate himself into modern society. Once he starts figuring himself out, a runaway omega runs into him (literally) and Bucky doesn't have it in him to let this omega go when he knows he can help someone escape abuse. It may have taken Bucky over 70 years to get away from his abusers but he's not going to let another person suffer longer than they need to.
