Summary
“Sungie,” Chan said, walking up to place a hand on his shoulder, “meet Lee Minho. Minho is a skater that I would like to train starting this season.”
Jisung and Minho accidentally entangled themselves in a panic-induced stare-down, which lasted entirely too long. Minho’s face turned red, the color climbing from his neck all the way up to his ears. Neither of them said anything in the way of a greeting.
“Okay,” Jisung offered after a pause, “what does that have to do with me?”
“Minho,” said Chan, ignoring the question. “This is Han Jisung, he’s my former singles champion and, I hope, your new partner in pairs.”
OR:
Two disgraced figure skating champions make the reluctant decision to team up and compete for the Grand Prix gold medal as the world's only male-male figure skating pair. With their careers on the line, they need to go from rivals to partners and compete with the pros, many of whom are their former colleagues. It would be easier, of course, if they weren't also falling in love with each other.

‘Please, hug me.’ He wants to say. Heavy droplets cascade down his cheeks. He turns his head to the side. A camera is filming him. He stares at it.
“Where are you? Tell me where you are, Hyung is on his way where are you?”
Minho doesn’t understand what he’s saying. He’s in darkness and pain, isn’t that obvious?

It hurts. His throat hurts so bad, and he doesn't know why, doesn't know how to fix it.
"Oh, Min," Chan breathes, reaching out - but Minho swats his hand away, shaking his head. He's sick he can't get Channie sick, too.'
Or, Minho gets sick, and it gets worse from there.

"And why should I trust a single thing out of your mouth, Siren?" he spat, much more viciously than he could back up in his current state. "How do I know you're not lying to me, waiting for me to drop my guard?"
That made the siren pause. It looked away from its work, halting mere centimeters from Minho's torn skin. Its bright blue eyes were serious. All traces of its previous mirth drained away as quickly as a hunter's spear pierces the flesh of their prey.
"You shouldn't," it said simply. The siren's voice was matter-of-fact, like it was simply telling him the time of day. Minho felt his skin prickle, but he did not avert his gaze. "You have no reason to trust me, nor would I trust you, if our situations were reversed. Your caution is admirable, human. Don't lose sight of it; it'll keep you safer than any of us can guarantee on our own."

“Now that’s all sorted, we can begin.” The man says.
Minho shifts in his chair a little, preparing himself. The tapping of computer keys echo in the room. He takes stock of what he knows. There’s something strapped to his chest, neck and wrist, and whatever is clamped on his finger, but nothing else is happening. He realises with mounting horror that this isn’t some sort of torture device.
It’s a heart rate monitor.
He curses his luck. A heart rate monitor isn’t exactly a lie detector, but it’s a damned good machine to use if you want to see what gets people riled up or nervous so that you know where to push and what’s not important.
More importantly, no amount of controlling his body language will mask his heartbeat.
Fuck.

“Minho-hyung?” Han said again, softer now, barely above a whisper. “Still with us?”
He wanted to answer. He could hear them. God, he could hear them so clearly- warm, familiar, worried.
But his mouth wouldn’t move. His tongue felt thick, useless.
Something was wrong.
Something was very, very wrong.
“Okay,” Chan murmured, already shifting into motion, hands steady but gentle as he guided Minho by the elbow. “Let’s get you sitting, okay? Nice and easy, we’ve got you.”

When Minho starts blanking out at practice, the members notice before he does. Calm and practiced, they guide him through a seizure and recovery.
