Summary

Not to mention his opportunity with a publishing company is slowly slipping into nothing, no inspiration in sight. He sets off to find somewhere to call home and winds up on the doorstep of a secluded lighthouse, seeking reprieve from the storm raging above, where a man with golden eyes spends his nights studying the stars. As he gets to know the man, Sam starts to think, just maybe, the storm isn't the only problem kind-hearted Gabriel will solve.

Summary
I’m horrible at writing summaries, but here goes. Set after the boys went their separate ways. Sam called Dean to tell him that he was Lucifer’s vessel, only to have his brother tell him how much better they were apart. Hurt, and afraid, Sam did the only thing that he thought might work to keep Lucifer from claiming his vessel. Unfortunately, he woke up anyways. Only, when he woke, it was to find the Trickster of all people sitting on the bed across from him.
He hadn’t expected to see him of all people there, and he certainly hadn’t expected to find him in his car the next morning, announcing that he was going to be traveling with him. Together, they set out, one to try and stop this whole thing, and the other for reasons that he keeps to himself.
Loki’s open about his opinion that Sam is going to eventually say ‘yes’. To him, it’s not even a question To Sam, it’s the one thing he’s determined to keep from happening.

Sometimes we enjoy babyish things like stuffed animals and bubbles and children’s toys. We never had a human childhood. Also, we will force Sam and Dean to play with us because everyone deserves to build a Lego tower inside a pillow fort while sipping hot chocolate and wearing footie pajamas and cuddling with giant stuffed giraffes. Adam is more than welcome to join, but his presence is not required.
It’s a proven fact that big brothers give the best hugs. Michael doesn’t have a big brother, though, so the rest of us have to make up for it by trying extra hard.
We don’t have birthdays, but we really wish we did. That’s why we make such a big deal out of yours.
I’m scared of the dark because my true form is bioluminescent but my vessel is not. Michael and Lucifer got used to it a long time ago, but I’m still adjusting.
Lucifer hates being cold because he spent most of his life never able to warm up. He dislikes winter for the same reason.

Summary
Sam knows that Gabriel and Lucifer have been fighting since the creation, so it shouldn't be a surprise that they're fighting over him, even at a time of year when their father has declared glory to himself, on Earth peace and good will towards men. What is surprising, however, is that Gabriel refuses to understand lyrics, that Lucifer refuses to back off, and that the two angels together are more inept at giving Christmas gifts than Dean. Sam? Well, Sam learns that Christmas really is all about love, and more of it than he'd ever thought possible.
