He’d always imagined se would be just a one-night stand; he never imagined (not even in his wildest dreams) that the woman he slept with would stay by his side, asking him how he felt and if he’d done it right, and that made his chest tighten. He should have kicked her out. Just fu her and tell her it was time to go our separate ways, not let her cling to a relationship that not even Jax understood. Not because of her. She wasn’t the problem. She never would be, by the love of any god who could hear him (and he definitely wasn’t referring to that idiot Caine).
The problem was him. It always had been.

Summary
Pomni escapes the Circus alongside everyone else.
Being back in the real world is challenging as Pomni is weak both physically and mentally. She should sleep but night terrors keep her up and restless.
As Pomni tries to recover, Ragatha's family give her an opportunity that is too good to pass up and Pomni takes it hoping that her life will eventually return to normal.
She didn't think that this situation would lead to Jax catching her masturbating but maybe it's a blessing in disguise as they both try to find a way to sleep.

Pomni looks over her shoulder, before scurrying to the suggestion box.
She’s heard of the other’s laments over missing their secondary genders all the time. Surely they wouldn’t mind if she just gave Caine a little push.
She quickly scrawls her suggestion on a notecard, and hastily shoves it in the box.
There.
Caine never reads those anyways. Even more, he likely wouldn’t bring back something that has potential to start even more drama.
She just wrote it down to make herself feel like she did something to fix the situation.
That’s all.
Alternatively: Pomni and the other circus members miss their secondary genders. Pomni decides to do something about it.

She eyed at him half lidded, how his chest rose up and down each breath, how he pushed his fur back, how his jawline moved each time he took gulps of water, how his fingers moved against the cords of the electric guitar with such precision that made her wonder how good those same fingers would feel between her legs. Why was she thinking so dirty of a guy she doesn’t know? The alcohol was getting to her head.
