Summary
His Sanshu, who seemed to come and go from the family compound like the ocean tide, had dropped off a map to Wu Xie three days prior. It wasn’t a tomb, but a door. A bronze door built deep into a cave, seemingly pointless, with no other structures near it. His Sanshu had simply told him the area was safe, there were no further artifacts in the area, and the door was old.
Very old.
Wu Xie, being the total opposite of his Sanshu, knew this could be the historical find of the century. After some debate, he had refused to allow anyone else to study it; it had to be him.
How could he have known what he would find...
...and what he could lose.

Xiaoge nodded, wondering why the man was telling him this.
“I’m just warning you because he can be loud.” Wu Xie scratched his chin, looking up in thought; his eyes fell back at Xiaoge. "Please don’t be startled if you see a man walking around or hear him yelling.”

Hands he found tied at that moment, due to the information he had at present, or the lack thereof. Wu Xie knew, logically, that he had very little to go on—but he also knew he was meant to do something for the Zhang Clan.

Summary

Fei Du, the master of flirtation, was suddenly silent. A deep sadness settled in his chest, and he felt a burning sensation in his eyes. Before he could stop himself, tears began to gather. He hated feeling this way.
Unable to hold back, Fei du leaned closer, pressing a soft kiss to Luo Wenzhou’s cheek. Then another, just behind his ear. Luo shivered slightly, a wave of goosebumps running through him down to his spine. Fei Du’s lips trailed down his neck, leaving two more gentle pecks before Luo Wenzhuo finally snapped out of his daze.
"Fei Du…" he whispered, barely finding his voice.
"We're in public," Luo warned, gently pushing him back, but not letting go completely.

A story cycle for my take on two of the evergreen joys of (drama) Guardian fic: the idea that Zhao Yunlan spent (a lot) more time in the distant past than the drama showed us, and how the time loop results in there being no time in his and Shen Wei's relationship when one of them wasn't already in love with the other.
