“Are you enjoying your time in Insomnia?” Cor asks, words stilted.
Ulric looks at him, surprise widening his eyes. Cor watches his throat bob with an uneasy swallow.
“The Citadel is very—it’s very beautiful,” Ulric says. “And large.”
Cor thinks it over as they make a complete set of the footwork, trying to spare enough attention to ensure he’s not coming anywhere close to crushing any toes beneath his own.
“They’re not letting you outside,” Cor guesses.
Ulric shakes his head, “My guard is very particular about it."Alternatively: Cor agrees to wed Nyx Ulric; for the good of the people.

“You have a fucking Wikipedia page,” Nyx said, hours later, sprawled on his bed with Cor’s bulk lying on his side, one hand on his phone and the other absently petting a scar along Cor’s side. “Fuck my entire life. Why do you have a Wikipedia page?”
“Well—”
“Don’t actually tell me,” Nyx snapped in despair, causing Cor to snicker fiendishly and shift about to soak up as much heat and space as he could. “Bastard.”
“Very emphatically not, I’m afraid,” Cor said, clearly amused at Nyx’s predicament. “Life would be so much easier if that was the case.”

“I’m aware,” Nyx’s voice is sobered, low and serious. “I didn’t know what to think when they said it, but I’m looking at him, from across the carpark, and there’s no chance it’s not him. Unless Nifelheim makes clones that can use crystal magic, then that’s Prince Noctis. Looks like the King, too.”

Nyx, Libertus, and Crowe end up hitchhiking back to Insomnia with a bunch of presumed dead nobles, one of which just happens to be the missing crown prince.
