Toriel promised herself she would never leave the Ruins. She had to stay there, to make sure that if a human fell, she could care for them - even if she couldn't stop them from going to their deaths in time. But now and then, leaving is inevitable. The Ruins have only so many resources, after all. This time, before she heads Home from her latest expedition, she decides to stop and check in on the asocial Royal Scientist who was once her good friend.
She doesn't find him.
She finds two other someones instead.

Summary
Long ago, a greedy and selfish Queen struck a deal with a dark entity. She wished to produce jewels from her own body, to be rich no matter where she was.
The entity granted her wish, and she came to be known as the Jeweled Queen. Her tears became diamonds as they fell, her very sweat fell as orbs of topaz, and even her blood became glittering rubies as it flowed.
Soon, though, the blessing became a curse. Her kingdom saw nothing but invasion and conflict for many years because of their Queen's selfishness. When she attempted to strike another deal, the entity instead cursed her family.
"Every third child born to your house shall bear the same burden you chose for yourself!" At this declaration, the Brooklyn Kingdom's fate was sealed.
For years, the curse faded from memory, and the kingdom was left alone. Until one fateful night, when a certain King received an... interesting report.

Sans was trying to get through life and ignore the apathy that had settled over him for Papyrus’s sake. It was just so hard to care about anything when he knew none of it mattered. But when Papyrus had him bring the anomaly home like a lost puppy, things stopped adding up.
How could such a sweet kid be responsible for the relentless time loops?

Frisk was used to being on their own, and they were pretty good at taking care of themself. But—Well. ...Dying hurt. They just wanted to get back to the surface! With Undyne in the way, they were hopeless.
So when a phone call from Papyrus somehow ended with an offer for them to crash at his house, Frisk could only be relieved for the break.
They could afford to rest for a while, right?

Summary
Ever since they defeated the Kraang, everyone’s mystic powers have been a bit out of control— especially Michelangelo’s. Whenever his powers would abruptly surge, it set off a chain reaction between everyone else’s powers. As you would expect, it ended in a couple broken objects and maybe injuries if they were extra unlucky.
Still, nothing too bad had happened since Baron Draxum stepped in rather quickly, trying to give them training. Even then, for some reason, Mikey’s powers were just so unpredictable. The training exercises he was given only worked 50% of the time.
On one particularly unfortunate night, he’d been playing Just Dance with his siblings, and when Leo went to fall backwards into his arms (as instructed by game choreography), their mystic powers surged at the same time. When the smoke cleared, Mikey was not in their game room. He was in midair, falling from an apartment building.
He wasn’t sure how long he laid there, bleeding out on the pavement in a haze, when three turtles suddenly huddled around him— they definitely weren’t his brothers, but they sure were convinced he was theirs.

All of his life, Michelangelo has been the glue that held his family together. No one asked him to, no one told him to, he just took it upon himself one day to dry tears and remind his family they are loved.
And when the world ended Mikey gathered up all the people he could reach into his arms and shielded them from the roaring tsunami that threatened to consume them all, and when the waves claimed some of the people he protected he just held tighter and refused to let the remaining ones shatter.
He has seen thousands and thousands of people die, felt when their spirits left the physical plane and went somewhere he couldn’t protect them, and with every death the fire in his chest burned brighter and brighter.
So when the resistance fell and his only remaining sibling asked him to sacrifice himself to send their last hope to the past, Mikey called upon that roaring bonfire in his chest and said, “We’re not letting anyone else die.”
