Summary
Sunny is vain, vindictive, and tortured by a past he can't make peace with. He hates himself and everyone else and crawls through college at his mom's and stepfather's behest, having drifted away from his friends back home like Kel, Aubrey, and the Hooligans, even if the first two are in the same school now. Meds and alcohol can only take him so far, though, and he knows it. However, the looming date in his mind and the plan he's settled on are about to be disrupted by a chance encounter with a blue-eyed, blond weirdo he's certain he's never met before in his life--but there's never really such a thing as chance.

Everything in Sunny's life was fine.
He had a friend group of five that he loved and cherished, an older sister who cared for him, a quaint cottage on the border of the woods, a violin that he’d play echoing songs on, and most importantly, a fairly normal life for a village boy, despite the rumors of what happens and lies beyond Faraway Village.
Everything was fine, until Sunny decided to go into the Vast Forest. That’s when just a boy shattered his perspective. A faun boy named Basil.

Basically, in which the fight between Mari and Sunny before the recital never happened, it’s a fantasy world, and Sunny meets a faun named Basil, much later than he does in canon. Fic title from the song Oats We Sow by Gregory and the Hawk.

Summary
On the day he's set to graduate high school, Sunny decides he's got nothing left to live for. After a chance encounter with old friends, he finds himself being whisked away from the lonely life he knew as the people he was once close to try to show him that things aren't as bad as they might seem.
Basil has spent the past two years recovering. Life is hard, and he knows that better than anyone else ever could. Two years ago, Sunny promised they'd stay in touch-but then he left for the city, and Basil hasn't heard from him since.
Now, Sunny's back, and he's expected to share everything he's worked so hard for with the one person who could throw it all away.
Through the anger, guilt and despair, the two of them are able to find forgiveness.
Forgiveness and a secret fifth thing-something neither of them was looking for, and something that threatens to put their newly rebuilt relationship into jeopardy.

Summary
That day at the hospital was the first day of Basil's New life. And the last day of Sunny's. Before he had even woken up, the black haired boy's body had already hit the ground.
Sometimes things work out different than one would expect. Instead of being left to his own devices, Basil's family came to pick him up, in a genuine attempt to reconnect with him after learning what their thoughtless behavior had led to.
Four years of radio silence and on the day before the biggest snow storm Faraway had ever experienced, Basil finally returned to say some words to Sunny, and leave for good. But the storm came in early, and now he had nowhere to go but to the people he's still afraid of hurting again.

And one evening, while Sunny is taking a nap, he whispers a name that none of his friends recognize.Who is.. "Omori"?

On Sunny's end of the stick, things aren't doing so well. Being back at Faraway has proven to be a mistake, as the familiar place kept triggering back memories.
The stress is so much, that Sunny finds himself accidentally falling back into his old habits. His dreams.
While he's there, he's greeted by good old Omori, who is just as upset as he is with him being back.
