Summary
Recently widowed and gradually being pushed into retirement, Professor Charles Xavier's life has reached a turning point. While riding the subway, Charles meets Erik Lehnsherr, a fellow mutant and sexagenarian. The artist-activist and gallery owner faces comparable concerns and is also a widower. Based on these similarities, the two begin a friendship that now might be evolving into something more.

Summary
Thirty years ago, after depleting its and its colonies’ resources, an attempted military coup, as well narrowly escaping the devastating consequences of scientific hubris, Krypton entered a new expansionist era. Dru-Zod was cast out and ordered to redeem himself by bringing new worlds under empirical control. Five years ago, Earth became a Kryptonian colony. But not without a fight.
Now, with the planet’s future and freedom still at stake, the resistance’s work remains incomplete. Batman, forced to adapt to and work within the invaders’ regime, secretly provides the rebels with information. But when his extraterrestrial colleague— the Kryptonian Cultural Minister— begins to take a personal interest in him, Bruce finds himself in uncharted territory. Because Kal-El is not the cruel, domineering overlord Batman assumed him to be.

Summary
At the beginning of Justice League: War, Superman was a bit of an asshole. Yes, Green Lantern started the fight, but Clark should’ve been smart enough not to continue it… or to keep attacking Bruce. So, after everything has calmed down, he acts like the polite, rational person he’s supposed to be. Superman seeks Batman out so he can apologize to him.

The fae grins again, and his heartbeat quickens: prey. He’s prey. “I see that someone taught you of our kind. You may call me Jaskier.”
“‘Jaskier,’” he repeats. Geralt’s mouth suddenly tastes of yellow. Like butter. Or springtime, and flowers.
A different version of Geralt and Jaskier meet; Geralt is still a witcher— it’s Jaskier who’s different.
Or my take on fae!Jaskier.

Summary
Geralt is tired after a contract and lets Jaskier take care of him.
“Want me to wash your hair?” the bard asks.
Geralt sits up slightly and shrugs, aiming for nonchalance. “If you want.”
Behind him, Jaskier laughs quietly. “I’ll take it that’s a yes then. One moment.” The witcher listens absently to the floorboards creak and cloth rustle as the bard gathers supplies from his bag. Geralt uses the time to duck his head under the water and do a preliminary scrub of his face. He resurfaces just as Jaskier crouches behind him again, setting the jar of liquid soap down with a soft thump. “Ready?”
“Mm-hmm.”
Jaskier uncaps the liquid soap, and a whisper of something floral— lavender— hits his nostrils. It isn’t the bard’s usual scent, which means that he bought it specifically with him in mind. Geralt fights a losing battle with the soft feeling that that knowledge produces in his chest. Jaskier gently pushes at his shoulders and Geralt obeys, submerging himself further. He closes his eyes again.

Summary
One month after the world explodes, Bruce is still here. And so is Clark Kent. For now, that will have to be enough.
“There is a third cup, saucer, napkin, and sugar spoon on the low coffee table. It’s for Jason, who always looks for Bruce after he gets home from school. For Jason, who loves when Clark and Diana visit. For Jason, who also loves to drink tea and do sophisticated adult things with them (at least if they involve Alfred’s baking). It’s for his son, because some part of Bruce must have noted that Clark’s visit was scheduled a little before school ends, so Jason would surely want to join them when he got home.”
