Summary
Jay was living a crappy, but normal life. He had a cat, Merlin. One day after work, Jay tried to sleep. His mother calls, acting unusual and tells him to turn on the TV. And when he does, a young girl is on the TV and says that monsters, of all kinds, are rounding up people and killing them. The girl starts to freak out, transforming into some kind of monster. The people around her kill her, and then it ends.
Mora, oh what couldn't be said about Mora. She worked as a scientist and owned her own lab. She had found many cures for many supposedly uncurable illnesses, worn awards and metals... and yet still she felt nothing. So, she did the one thing that would help with this agonizing numbness. She helped end the world. Why? Because she doesn't care anymore.
Miriam was living a perfectly normal life. She'd get ready, take her daily meds, and log on to online school. She knew the outside was unsafe but that was all fine. It just happens to be the day she decides to go outside, all hell breaks loose. She finds her parents dead; she's left with no medication left and is forced to learn how to survive in this new world.
Merlin was a happy cat. And then suddenly he wasn't.

It has been a thousand years since Arthur died. In the modern age, Merlin passes the days by maintaining Camelot's castle and healing the sick. He spends each night at the edge of the Lake of Avalon, awaiting a man he fears will never return.
But of course, Arthur does return - to a world he doesn't recognize. Merlin must help him adjust to modern society before it is too late. Arthur struggles with his past and his destiny, along with the new world that he has difficulty making sense of.
The world is in peril; a modern plague, climate change, and war threaten the existence of any future. Magic is dying, with Merlin being the only sorcerer at full power left on earth.
Arthur and Merlin are the only ones who can do it. And, it being the two of them against the world, some feelings may finally bubble to the surface.Bookmarked by Mi33_Cellaneous
