Inspired by a line that Sebastian says in Season 4, Episode 9: “Yeah, and I can’t pull off a high-heeled boot, apparently.” In which I wanted to write Sebastian in high-heeled boots, and somehow this happened.

Phil can slip sunshine into any moment in Dan’s day. Even the days when he doesn’t get out of bed, or when Phil finds him one bottle of rosé down, crying on the balcony.
In every situation, across two cities and three flats, across 200-odd miles between Reading and Rawtenstall, they are always just two boys who were made to find each other. Their life now is a far cry from where they’d started ten years ago. A far cry from days spent lounging around Phil’s flat in Manchester, before they got properly famous, and were allowed to have friends like them. Days when they felt allowed to live as who they are.

It’s 2019, and things have not been easy for Dan. The last decade has often felt like being dragged through hell, backwards, with your eyes closed.
But there is something about Phil that makes him think he can just about keep going.
Ultimately, Phil’s been Dan’s favourite for a long, long, time.

The problem is, Phil is happy. Phil isn’t sure he’s ever been happier. Everything is just as he’d dreamt it would be when he was younger. He and Dan have been living together for a little while; and it’s been pretty bloody fantastic. It feels like a reward for months, nay, years of hard work. For the most part, anyway.
Though there are nights like these sometimes. Nights when Dan doesn’t want to get out of bed, or laugh, or even really breathe. Phil twitches when he thinks that these nights seem to be increasing in both their intensity and occurrence.

Dan is suffering, badly. He's catatonic, unable to figure out what is wrong with his brain.
Phil is there every step of the way, he's so in love, and it hurts him sometimes. But they'll get through it, they just have to believe they can.
