Summary
Vampires are a category of Fae creature which are Unseelie and thus are bound by specific and strange rules, but to differing extents. Turned Vampires - Vampires who were once fully human - are not true Fae. Dhampirs and Upyirs, however, are both true Fae and are thus bound by all laws of the Faerie. Upon their true deaths they will not leave behind bodies, instead turning to ash and smoke.
Or: The one in which Scott Goldsmith is a Dhampir - half-human, half-Vampire, and all ancient evil. This suits him quite well - it's been over a thousand years since he's remembered what mortality was like. And then he awakens to a world changed and fledglings that call him friend. And just maybe he can admit that it's nice to feel loved, instead of feared.
But once Unseelie, always Unseelie...right?

Summary
Ever since Legundo was young, he saw ghosts. He never said anything, but does what he can to help them move on. He liked to think he was good at it too. Then war came knocking on his doorstep, afterwards, he was never the same. Now, he is in Oakhurst, determined to help the people he's found himself in the company of. One of those being Owen-the lumberjack that has taken to staying far away everyone. Save for a haunting specter that has attached itself to the man.
Can Legundo help both ghost and man move forward? Or has he finally gotten in over his head?

Avid hated looking at the scar upon his skin.
It ran along his neck and shoulders, festering with blood and infection, the edges jagged and uneven: clearly meant to be a quick, fatal blow with horrifying sharp claws- the insides pulsed with moving shoulder muscle underneath- visible in all of its agony, slowly leaking that same dark substance he had coughed up previously.
It never healed properly like a wound should. To him? It was vile and disgusting and inhuman. Like some sort of monster. It made him want to puke, to know he’s lived like this for so long.
He knew he was dying. That was a fact.
He felt it every day deep within his very core. The way he felt adrenaline and fear pump through him at the slightest noise, the constant anxiety over the worst to come, the way his once perfectly fitting clothes sagged on his limbs, and the way he felt his heartbeat get slower everyday.
It had gotten to a point where sometimes Avid couldn’t even feel his own pulse on certain days.
And it horrified him.

Meanwhile, Lancer wonders just what the heck he's gotten himself into, but does his best to help, whereas Ember thinks this adventure's simply going to be fun.
