Summary
Arthur Pendragon and Merlin were literally from two different worlds. One is a prince from a great kingdom and the other a common farm boy from the next kingdom over. These two should have never met.
But that was before they realized their parents were once friends and arranged the two of them to marry when they reached adulthood. That was before Uther turned on magic and Hunith went on the run with her infant son.
Now almost twenty years have passed and these two boys have grown into men. Camelot knights have found Hunith and come to collect her son.
Will Merlin survive this new world he has been thrusted into? A peasant among royals, a sorcerer among those that would have him killed if they found out. Can Merlin even begin to hope for happiness when the prince he is forced to marry wants nothing to do with him?

Gwen watched as Arthur took a second to think, “I don’t know.” He responded, with a solemn expression. “Somewhere where nobody knew who I was. I’d get some land and become a farmer.”
“I can hardly see you toiling away in the field all day,” Gwen said with a chuckle.
“Obviously, I’d take Merlin along with me; he can do all the hard work,” Arthur said with a small grin. Because, obviously.

After an insightful chat with Gwen, Arthur decides to reveal his relationship with Merlin to his father. It doesn't go the way he wanted it to.

Summary
Arthur gave Merlin his cloak thinking only of the warmth it would offer in a snowstorm. He never thought his manservant may be mistaken for him and snatched by bandits. Nor did he expect his dashing rescue of Merlin to turn his world so utterly on his head.
Because the bandits hadn't kidnapped a prince. They'd snatched a sorcerer, and now captivity is the least of anyone's problems.
A golden age awaits, but can they claim it together, or are they doomed to fail?
