“No,” Mumbo says, and Grian sinks back, groaning.
“Aw, great,” he whines. “I’m just looking for someone who knows redstone, and I think I’ve got the kid, but instead it’s just you.”

Grian isn’t panicking.
There’s nothing to panic about, okay? He’s fine. He’s absolutely, totally, fine.
Sure, he- he might not know where he is, and he might not have his communicator, and he might be pretty certain that Pearl and Joel and Jimmy are going to think that he just left, that he chickened out, but-

Watchers were supposed to be worshipped. It’s their source of powers as minor deities, after all.
Grian, who wanted nothing more than to forget his Watcher past, was quite happy not to be worshipped at all. So when the Hermits collectively started praying to Xelqua and Grian started to gain a lot of Watcher magic, it put a real damper on his mood, health, self-perception and his relationships. With Mumbo gone off-world, it was now up to Scar, Pearl and Xisuma to worry about him – if Grian would let them. But Grian was nothing if not stubborn. He’d get through this alone, right?

"'M not feeling good, Scar," Grian's words hitch breathlessly, his heart pounding in his ears, and admitting such a thing makes him feel like he's sinking.
"What?" Scar questions, the word peaking the speaker and hitting Grian's ears with an uncomfortable sharpness. "What do you mean? Gri, we're waiting on you–"
"I can't– I can't come," he sobs, lungs burning as he gasps shallowly, "I'm sorry- I'm so sorry."

Summary
Jimmy is an utter lightweight.
That’s really the most important thing that he should remember when he goes to parties, but somehow he always forgets because everybody else is still drinking, so it’s fine for him to keep drinking! After all, if Grian, tiny bird that he is, can knock back four shots and order another without even blinking, Jimmy should be able to as well. He doesn’t drink very frequently, of course, but he thinks he ought to have gotten better at it by now.
He can’t turn down a drink with a low alcohol content for the pitiful reason of already drinking one that was practically just juice.
So he finishes the drink in his hand and picks up the one from her.

“Oh, so it's a usual thing, huh?” Sanemi snarled, looking at Giyuu out of the corner of his eye, crossing his arms as he did so. Giyuu barely reacted, but Sanemi noticed his brow set in a firm line, and the corners of his mouth quirk downwards.

“No. I’m a hashira.”

Summary
When school does end, finally, Fig always wordlessly heads off to her room for a quick nap, foregoing the afternoon, post-school snack that Jawbone prepares for the household. She’d rather sleep than eat at most times. Her nap is her alone time, her quiet time when she can shut off her brain and stop putting on a show for the people around her. It’s not out of her routine when she drags herself up the stairs to get to her room, her backpack having been discarded in the living room in favor of not having to haul it up with her.
What is out of her routine, though, is when she finally stumbles her way into her room, closing and locking the door behind her, and her eyes fall on the sight of Ayda curled up as tightly as Fig has ever seen her, resting on Fig’s bed but not comfortably under the covers or relaxed in any way.
