Wei Ying looks around desperately. Lan Zhan is dead weight in his arms, and Bichen has halted all movement. The air is far colder than it had been moments ago. Wei Ying seethes, caught between confused rage and intense fear.
Wei Ying knows he has to hold it together. Whatever this was wouldn’t be easy to deal with, but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t go down without a fight. He refuses to go down at all. Not if it means that Lan Zhan still has a chance… and that he might be his only hope.
