In this story history played out a little different: Adam and Eve lived happy together in Eden, got their children IN the garden and everything was perfect (despite Adam being Adam).
Except for the first man’s persistent fear of his second wife leaving him one day like Lilith did. One day this fear caused a fight. Eve ran away crying, ate the apple as Lucifer and Lilith recommended her and…
Vanished without a trace.
Adam together with their children got kicked out of Eden and he was forced to take care of them alone – with a heart beyond shattered from betrayal and abandonment after learning from the angels what Lucifer convinced his wife to do.
His whole life he was haunted by a single question – fucking why?
But not even after his life ended and his afterlife in heaven began, he could find the answer. Because Eve remained missing, not able to be found in heaven or hell or even earth. Even the seraphim angels found the question of her whereabouts to be a great mystery.
Until one day the mother of humanity, the original sinner suddenly appeared before the pearly gates...

Adam dies in the last extermination. Next time he opens his eyes, He sees he's back at the beginning. As in, back in the garden when he was first created, kind of beginning. Adam doesn't want to die a second time, and he figures Lilith, ironically, had a better life than he did with Lucifer. So Adam comes up with a plan to seduce Lucifer, marry him, and take Liliths place as the second ruler of hell, and after a few thousand years, dump Lucifer and go to heaven like Lilith did! Then HE will have the last laugh! Sadly, all his flirting doesn't really work on Lucifer…but Lucifer's flirts are working on Adam. And maybe he's not as straight as he thought. Which is bad, He can't fall for Lucifer! If he does, he won't be able to leave him for heaven, and that is not an option!!! Adams getting his happy ending!

I've already rewritten/am rewriting this story once; I'm not doing it again to compensate for changes brought upon by Season 2.

Adam hadn’t felt this kind of pain in over 6,000 years.
His angelic nature kept him from being harmed by most anything. Once he had cut his hand, sharpening the Angelic Steel around the edge of his guitar that he used in battle, and that shit hurt like a MOTHERFUCKER, but when the hell would he ever come into contact with angelic steel in combat unless he was training with the other exterminators? Even then, angelic injuries heal nearly instantly, and not a single angel in all of the realms had ever fucking died from it. It was impossible to die as an angel.
This is my take on an Adam-stays-at-Hazbin-Hotel fic. LOTS of angst, LOTS of feelings (no I'm NOT using this fic as a way to cope with my religious trauma, what gave you that idea?). Enjoy!
