'400 year-old pocket knife restoration,' the title says, and the still thumbnail is a picture of an anonymous man's hands dipping an unidentified object – though he's willing to guess it's the aforementioned four-hundred year-old knife – into what looks like a baking soda bath.
And then it cuts to a video of the knife.

Hob Gadling watches an ASMR video about knife restoration and gets a bit in his feelings about the whole thing (sometimes immortality isn't all it's cracked up to be). Thankfully, he has a friend who understands.

Summary
When Alice saw the figure standing there, her first, improbable thought, was Eliot. But, no-- that wasn’t-- it was a young woman. Younger than Alice, even, probably. She had on leather boots that went up to her thighs over leather leggings, and a long, drapey-- Renaissance Fair-style (Fillorian, she hissed inside, you know it’s Fillorian) blouse. Her thick black hair was pushed back over one shoulder and her eyes--
“Holy shit,” the girl-- woman-- said under her breath, her mouth curling into an uncanny almost-grin, as Alice stared like an idiot.
“Alice Quinn,” she said suddenly, straightening up to her full height-- taller than Alice. “I’m Quentin Coldwater’s daughter from the future,” she said, like she’d rehearsed it-- that was the easier part for Alice to focus on, the delivery. “And I need you to help me save my family.”
Or: Alice saves Queliot, and saves the world. And just maybe figures out who she's always been.

In which everyone is a bit older and a bit wiser.
Quentin is the successful author of a bunch of romance novels. He's searching for inspiration for his next book and maybe looking to live a little vicariously through his characters once again. He's doing his best; taking his meds, seeing his therapist (who somehow tolerates him), and feeding The Catwins every night. Everything is fine until Quentin realizes that he himself could live out some of the fantasies he's only put into writing before.
Eliot is settling down somewhat in his thirties. While he's still as fabulous as ever, working as a costume designer. He's content as can be in his own little kingdom--really. Well, that is until Quentin comes calling and well and truly throws a complete wrench into things with one simple request. Then he begins to wonder if he was ever really content at all.
Also, theres a colony of feral cats.
Or the one where Quentin might just end up living happily ever after and there's lots of kinky sex.

Summary
The thing is: Sex is a good way to pass the time. Sex is good, in a pure, base, animal way. It’s a thing his body wants, another body warmclosewettight around him. Eliot had missed sex, in the year before Quentin kissed him on the mosaic. He’s missed solid masculine bodies for longer than that. It should be something simple, a biological function. But it’s not.
It’s not because Q spread out and open for him is the most beautiful thing Eliot’s ever seen.

Summary
There’s a layer of dust coating everything in the cottage, like nobody’s been here since them. A thick white film, almost the perfect representation of what their lives ended up being. He swipes a finger along the counter as he goes, a thin streak left behind, as he marvels at the fact that it’s exactly how they left it — despite never having actually been here. Even the lines along the doorway to the kitchen, where Quentin had insisted on marking Teddy’s height; Eliot pauses here, to press his nail into the tallest mark, a soft smile dancing along his lips at the memory of Quentin pouting when they finally had the proof that Teddy had officially grown taller than him.
He swallows down a lump and moves down the short hallway. The door to the bedroom is closed, and he hesitates for a moment, before reaching out and wrapping his hand around the knob. He freezes, a memory flashing of Quentin.

Summary
Not even being a magician can rescue Eliot's Solsti-yule-mas, this year. After graduation, he'd leapt at the chance to apprentice with a world-famous magical architect, even if her office was in the Midwest; but now, with a major deadline looming, he can't take any time off for the holidays; and an approaching blizzard looks like it's about to ground his best friend at LaGuardia, two days before Christmas. The only bright spot? Eliot's boyfriend just beat the storm—and he brought Eliot a very cool present.
Then their holiday plans take a sideways turn when—not even 24 hours into Quentin's visit—Eliot's mother shows up at their front door.
Eliot's perfectly happy to see his mom—seriously, he really is, honestly—but their relationship has always been complicated, and the better part of a decade of radio silence hasn't exactly laid the groundwork for easy cohabitation in a studio apartment during the most stressful time of the year. As the storm hits, suffocating Chicago just when Eliot most needs an escape, it starts to seem like the only thing that can guide him through it may be a 100-year-old clock, made by a long-dead Coldwater, that just might turn out to be a little bit magic.
