Summary
This is part of the lore for YaBr (Yet another Bionicle rewrite), my personal outline for a Bionicle G1 rewrite. The aim of this rewrite is to smooth out the bumps and gaps in lore, as well as to incorporate various quality-of-life changes to make the overall story more narratively satisfying, cohesive, and connected, especially towards the end.
What follows is the rest of the explanation for how this revised version of Voya Nui split off from the Matoran Universe, the formation of Mahri Nui, the logistics behind the settlements in Karda Nui; How things moved into place from the Great Cataclysm for the Ignition Trilogy... And ultimately, how it moved back for Mata Nui's awakening. I posted the first portion of this on Tumblr and would've posted all of it there; But the post in question became so long that I opted to move the rest to AO3. Thus, this starts off incomplete because it is, and is meant to be read AFTER the initial Tumblr post, which I'll post a link of at the beginning of this, for anyone actually interested.

Perhaps this, then, can account for their failures in their experiments... Amidst their own moral failures compelling them to do the atrocious, and eventually rebel against the Emperor himself- Not for the sake of liberation, but to install their own dictatorship.

Like, is she OKAY back home…? Her monologue at the beginning of Wing it like Witches makes me wonder if her home-life is great, as does her brief interaction with her mother.
This fic explores that! It’s the culmination of my various analyses, posts, and speculation on Boscha’s character, on her relationship with people like Skara and Amity Blight, all with a dash of my own personal speculation and headcanons! It explores Boscha’s childhood, how she became friends with Amity, got into Grudgby… and provides a lens through her eyes, a look into her head on what happened; Especially during Wing it like Witches…! And because I’m a sucker for it, I also added in a little unrequited love!

Part 3 of Bionicle: RaE, the first 'Part' of this series that truly begins the term 'Expanded' in the title. Unlike the previous two parts, the storyline for this is wholly original, not being an adaptation of any of G2's storylines!
Part 3: Life follows the aftermath of Makuta's defeat. The Okotans are recovering from his attempted razing of Okoto, when a new threat emerges; The Dark Hunters, a powerful mercenary organization led by The Shadowed One. Through Narmoto, they learn the existence of another island like Okoto, one named Xia... This cursed land is an industrial hell-scape, clogged up with mindless expansion and factories, with little to no room for nature. When it becomes apparent that The Shadowed One is gathering the lost fragments of the Mask of Life, the Toa and their allies journey to Xia to stop the Dark Hunters, and come across multiple other people and journeys along the way...
