Summary
Drift was forced off the Lost Light 18 months ago for a crime he didn't commit. When Ratchet finds out that he's innocent, he sets out across the galaxy to bring him back home. Once they're on the shuttle on their way to the Lost Light, he lets Drift know the real reason he came to find him, and it has nothing at all to do with Overlord. Drift: EoS compliant.

“You’re on the Lost Light, we’re a civilian ship. Do you remember how you got here?” Maybe-Ratchet was staring at a diagnostic panel embedded in his forearm.
The telltale whirring of another bluescreen started to murmur in his audials again. Orion frowned, throwing wayward and clumsy code at it haphazardly.
“I merged with the AllSpark?” Orion mumbled, wondering if this Ratchet would also be mad at him for that, and then his processor shut down in an electric crackle of processor overload.
Optimus Prime makes the ultimate sacrifice, merging the Matrix of Leadership with the Well of AllSparks to restore life to Cybertron. Instead of the peaceful end he'd wanted, Primus has other plans, and Orion Pax wakes up on the Lost Light. Stranger than what look to be noses on these Cybertronians' faces is the former warlord co-captaining this dimension-hopping ship: Megatron, radically different, and yet heartbreakingly familiar.

As he reads through the unpolished prose, he encounters several other crew members pursuing new creative endeavors now that the endless war has finally ended, prompting him to muse on what "Towards Peace" truly means.

Someone had the foolish idea that cutting the power to the lights would save them. A low chuckle rumbled in his throat. Although his crimson optics strained to process visual images in complete darkness, he had other senses to rely upon. There would be no escape!

When Ratchet receives a late night comm from First Aid requesting emergency medical assistance, he packs his supplies, grabs a rusty cloak for camouflage, and rushes into the dark night. Whispered warnings about the Garou, a Primus cursed wolf monster don't phase him. Primus isn't real, neither are curses, and the sound of footsteps behind him is just his exhausted mind playing tricks on him. He's got nothing to worry about.
After all, who's afraid of the big bad Deadlock?
