James Potter, arguably, should be easy to buy for. He likes football, he likes drinking, he purportedly likes Lily Evans. Regulus had taken the slip of paper with ‘James’ written on it happily enough, thinking he would have an easy go of it. Could be worse. Could be someone he barely knows at all like Mary or Alice.

“Reggie, listen. Your new movie is so highly anticipated that having The Marauders write a song specifically for it? Everyone will go wild.”
“I don’t care. I don’t want it.”
“Well, it’s not actually up to you. I’m only telling you as a nicety. The Marauders have already agreed.”
or, Regulus is the highest-paid actor of his generation, and when his brother's band agrees to write a song for his film, the brothers are forced to speak to each other again after seven years.

Summary
Regulus Black is autistic, emotionally constipated, and hyperfixated on pottery. He lives alone, avoids eye contact, and cohabits with a cat named Soup Knife who commits regular acts of terrorism.
Then James Potter shows up: loud, glittery, guitar-playing, singing James and ruins everything by being annoyingly kind, weirdly hot, and completely unfazed by the cat trying to kill him.
One shattered bowl later, Regulus is back in his old punk band, internet-famous, and somehow dating the human equivalent of a sunrise. By accident.

Jason has been ignoring him for the past two months, after abruptly ending their friends-with-benefits arrangement over cold morning-after leftover pizza without so much as a word of explanation why. Which, unless Roy said something, Dick knows fuck-all about, so Jason doesn’t blame him for having Roy over, especially considering they’ve been friends for longer than Jason has known Roy. By all means, Jason shouldn’t say anything to make Dick aware. He’s also never been the arbiter of good decision-making.

Jason transforms for the first time at just five years old.
His mom— Catherine, his real mom— had been too high to panic, but she certainly hadn't handled it well, either. She locked him away in his room every full moon until he learned how to control his shifts, praying the neighbors were too drunk or afraid of the cops to bother calling in the mournful howls coming from the worn-down apartment next to them.
It had felt like a curse for a long time. Something to be locked away and buried so deep he could never find it again.
(It had been a curse until he needed to make rent or pay hospital bills every time his mom overdosed. Nobody thinks the weird, mangy puppy on the streets is going to steal from them the way they do when it's a starving kid.)
(People fed him more when he was a dog, too.)

For Jason, this was discovering his brother absolutely ravishing a bag filled with literal blood at five in the morning. The thought that Tim might be a vampire didn't even cross his mind. He concluded that Tim had gone insane.
“I’m not a vampire,” Tim insisted with blood dripping from his chin, the half-empty pouch he had been drinking from still clutched in his hand. “I swear.”

If you asked Bruce, then Tim simultaneously managed to be the most tame and unhinged child of all. His behaviour ranged from graduating early out of spite, to making clones of his not-really-deceased (boy)friend. Bruce held the opinion that Tim would have to come out on his own terms. Which was why he didn’t press the vampire- situation either.
