He continues to hum wordlessly into the night, letting himself feel all the pain he fights to keep down in front of the others. He knows he has to let it out sometime or it will swallow him whole, and gods it was getting close to eating him alive.
But soon his notes turn wobbly.
And they break into pieces as he chokes on his grief.
And his shoulders shake as he crumples in on himself.
He buries his face in his hands and just cries.
“…Philza?” He hears softly behind him. His breath catches in his throat and he stops breathing. He lifts his face from his hands slowly, but does not turn.
Instinctively he reaches for his mask, chest tight as he holds back sobs, and hides his soul once more.
OR
When everyone returns to the island after purgatory, Philza finds he's lost more than just his children- he's lost his voice. He dons the mask he wore throughout purgatory as a small comfort, and takes on the persona of "Eggza".
Can be read as platonic or romantic, but I did write it to be platonic.
(There is some Spanish text, but it's not necessary to understand what's going on)

The shadowy figure was dripping wet, dark wingtips dragging along the grass from exhaustion as they approached. He wore an eyepatch—just a rough, bloody strip of fabric tied around his head and matted into damp, muddy curls.
The red sweater was ripped and stained with a brown substance, the wings tattered with broken white feathers sticking out at odd angles.
Scar felt his mouth go dry and his insides tense in fear. “G… Grian?” What was wrong with him?
The figure took another step forward before latching onto the front of Scar’s shirt with dirty fingers. His remaining, red-tinted eye looked deep into Scar’s, like it was trying to see his soul.
“You’re not my Scar, are you?” He said.

He gave the barrier another loud crack, delightedly watching as they scrambled away in abject terror.
Nodding in satisfaction, he turned around to meet the eyes of two other prisoners that had been thrown into his cell.
He froze.
Right.
There were now aliens in his cell.
And he probably just scared the hell out of them.
Or: Humans are a dangerous race feared by all on an intergalactic scale. Techno, a human ex-soldier that was abducted by aliens 18 months ago, is biding his time in captivity.
This changes when two young aliens are sent into his cell to die.

Summary
It’s mesmerising, following the fluid lines of the sculpture from the neck to the tail, each detail so delicately carved and shaped it’s impossible to imagine that it’s been carved from stone.
He’s reached a hand out before he knows it, stroking one finger carefully along the raised spines of the dragon, along its back. It’s warm beneath his hand, despite all the stone around him being cold. It’s definitely some kind of stone though, maybe a refined obsidian of some kind? It seems to swallow the light around it completely.
His finger is warm where he is touching the statue.

"No" Medkit shook his head, averting his gaze.
He could hear a disappointed huff of air come from Zuka as he uncrossed his arms and walked out of the room, which relieved Medkit.
"It's okay, You're safe now. Zuka patched up your erm.." He gestured to his left eye awkwardly, trying to give a comforting look but it felt far from it.
"...Injury and took you in, you've been resting here for a few days."
_________Medkit wakes up in swords room. His memories are fuzzy but it's slowly coming back to him. Is Blackrock still looking for him? his partner he left behind, was he dead?

Kaeya cocks his head to the side, “So we’re currently in the past?”
“I suppose you could put it like that, but it’s more like our past and our present have collided.”
“So, time travel?”
Albedo sighs, “Sure, let’s call it that.”
A growing string of disappearing people, a catastrophic Ley Line disorder, a chaotic space and a convoluted Fatui plot throws much of Mondstadt into a not-so-distant past, surrounded by uncomfortably familiar faces.
Unfortunately for Kaeya, this means forgoing a much-needed vacation to figure out what is actually going on, which is quite difficult when a certain Inspector keeps getting in the way.
And all the while grappling with the presence of a boy who looks and sounds like Diluc, but is someone far different than the man that Diluc has become.
Gods, he could really go for a drink right about now.

Teyvat emerges triumphant in the war against Celestia. The Sustainer takes revenge with her dying gasp, and it's only through Kaeya's sacrifice that the people of Mondstadt outlive her fury.
However, his heroism leaves him a petrified husk in the center of Mondstadt's main square. Mondstadt is eager to enshrine him in legend – how could they not, with the statue right there? Diluc abhors the sentiment.
After all, commemorating Kaeya's heroism is tantamount to accepting his death.
