One windswept night in the leisurely city of Mondstat, a lone knight wanders the empty streets keeping watch over his people. Regaled with tales of a mysterious vigilante, he begins to suspect an old friend.
As he sets off to end the mystery of this vigilante, he'll have to reconcile the past he spent a lifetime leaving behind - a past that hides a great darkness, and an even greater pain, and he soon finds that the vigilante will be the least of his worries.
Through great anguish and suffering he will learn, the night is darkest just before the dawn.
