“Gaius, huh,” he mused. “I don’t know a Gaius.” But even as he said it there was something buried way down below, prickling at his memory.
In which Arthur falls asleep, falls ill, and farms, and Merlin brings him home.

Arthur’s deep plain blue eyes that met Merlin’s pale ones, with small golden flecks inside. Where Arthur was afraid to touch, Merlin was tactile. When Arthur bit back his words, Merlin rambled them.

Merlin rounds Arthur's edges, and Arthur loves Merlin.
