Sam broke his promise and told Quackity where Dream was hiding after Techno escaped and did exactly what Dream knew he would do. Will Techno be too late to fulfil his promise? Can Sam come to terms with where his actions have lead? Can the ache of old wounds be forgotten? Can Dream be made whole after everything that he is becomes shattered?

It hasn't been a minute since Dream woke up but here he is, holding the nape of the man with a navy blue beanie with his thin fingers while pointing an unsharpened pencil directly at the hybrid's pulse area. The whole room where he was staying is a real mess to deal with, he can tell; shattered pieces of glass scattered in floor, broken side table which he used as a shield from the netherite axe, the mattress and blanket where he woke up are all tattered and the visibly cracked walls that had small drops of blood splattered against it if you look closely. His first visitor just tried to killed him, I mean everyone did so what's new about it?
"Is this duck your friend? Because he fucking threatened to kill me yet he's no fun." he pressed the pencil on the other's neck and received a whimper which he snorted at. Weakling. The crowd in front of him gulped from the blood running down the hybrid's neck and Dream can't help but somehow find it satisfying. "Oh wait, I think we'll have fun. I thought of a game when I was still on my domain. Let's play, shall we?"

George, still traumatized from what he went through in Dream's cell, comes home and begs Sapnap to help him rescue Dream from Sam. Sapnap, after some persuasion, agrees, and soon they get Technoblade and Ranboo along for the ride.
EXCERPT: Techno nodded. “Then I need you to trust me when I say I need your help to break Dream out of prison.” Ranboo gapes at him, aware his mouth is open and he looks like a fool. But. What? “I and others have witnessed that Sam is… abusing him, to the point that no one deserves, not even that piece of shit.”
Ranboo frowned harder than before. “Isn’t that the point of prison?”
Techno shook his head, looking at the floor. “Not this kind of abuse. There are ways to rehabilitate people, and what Sam is doing is–is just wrong, and not rehabilitating.”

After the smp all get therapy, they finally realise that Dream needs it as well. But they come back to a shell of a person. An animalistic, snappy, and very mentally messed person, who was once their admin and even friend at some point.
He barely remembers them, and doesn't seem to comprehend much outside of fear and hunger. But what happens when Sam ignites something from him? What if he shows the creeper hybrid that there is in fact a brain left in there?
