Summary
Optimus and his team are in trouble.
They have accidentally/not so accidentally destroyed the Allspark, and the Elite Guard is on their way. Sure, it was to keep the artefact out of Decepticons' hands, but their bosses might be (rightfully) pissed at them. And when Ultra Magnus is angry, you better watch out for that hammer.
So, what's a Prime to do to protect his own in this case?
Well, perhaps use his own righteous fury as well as his encyclopedical knowledge of the Autobots' laws to deflect the blame and dazzle his Superiors before they even have a chance to ask where the Allspark is.
It's not even as if it would be unwarranted. After all, Optimus should have been on maternity leave for ages, not dealing with this slag!

“I’m not sure I can trust you,” said Ultra Magnus, relishing the way Optimus’s faceplate flushed with humiliation. “You’ll have a guard for those two weeks, and you will stay here, in Fortress Maximus, to ensure you don’t try anything creative.” He stepped closer, hating the way Optimus held his ground. “By the way, Optimus—you will succeed in charming Megatron. He was entirely correct when he said the Decepticons have the Allspark. This treaty must succeed.” He leaned forward. “Or I will know exactly at whose stabilizers the blame lies.”
Optimus finds himself betrothed to Megatron, and Megatron a surprisingly courteous suitor. But the Decepticons are afraid of something, a looming threat on the edge of known space...
...and Decepticon machinations may be the least of Optimus's worries.

Summary
“Little” Mac Ferrante had a fairly short career as a boxer; during said career, it is well known that he was accompanied often by his trainer, Doc Louis.
But for most of his career, Doc wasn’t alone. A red and black cat could often be seen alongside the boxer during training sessions, often helping him prepare for future fights. Then, after one fight, the cat just disappeared. Mac never saw him again.
A couple years later, Mac gets invited to a multiversal fighting tournament.
One of the fighters is familiar to him.

Brainstorm was silent, field indicating nothing. Perceptor calculated whether it would be more logical or illogical to wait, and concluded the latter. Brainstorm made rapid decisions, and had not formerly needed encouragement to voice them, but that had been millions of stellar cycles ago. “I would appreciate promptness in your rejection.”
“Who said anything about rejecting?” Brainstorm tipped his head to the side. “I’m just trying to make sure I’ve got this straight in my processor. You performed ethically dubious, untested, methodologically uncertain engineering on yourself. Because you missed me.”
Perceptor deleted all of his emotions for a reason. After the Quintesson threat leads Optimus Prime to push through the Autobot-Decepticon Alliance, that reason no longer applies. Fixing the situation is going to take some trial and error...and a self-proclaimed genius.
