Summary

Summary
(NOTICE: I have dropped this series for the time being due to various reasons. I have changed as a writer and would prefer to do a full rewrite rather than come back to where I left off. There will be no more updates here. That said, please feel free to enjoy what I have.)
My own take on the Shattered Glass universe.
Some things will remain the same as in cannon, and other things I will take liberties with. I don't think it would be plausible for everything that happened in the show to be the same considering the swapped morals.
Oh, and spoiler alert, there is neither good nor evil in a world like this, only shades of gray. Those who are seen as evil are merely broken puppets, and those who seem to be good are but struggling survivors desperate to live one more day. Every individual has their own goals and lines between factions have never been blurrier.

Top tier fic oh my god. Everyone is so well-written and the character ideation is big-brain and the G1 stew is really good!!!
Optimus is morals and cares very much and is fantastic. Prowl. Literally everyone. D-16 is written in such a cool way it's very clear how being a miner has built his worldview and understanding of language (it goes into him learning language through his writings! It's so good!). Starscream is young like in the original G1 voice actor casting notes and he's still very smart and I Must Be The Best and has his Starscream-ness.
Like ok everything is fantastic the stuff near the end is just clearer in my head. Also Chapter 113 has the babies.
It's just a comfortable fic. Not in the fluff sense, but in the sense that it isn't actively tense and doing actively high-stakes stuff. It's not an action fic. The term "long fuse" really describes it well. Things are going to blow up eventually but until then it's quiet. -

Early in the war, Hot Rod joins the Decepticons, angry that the Autobots provided precious little assistance to evacuate the citizens of Nyon when Hot Rod burned his own city to ashes to prevent Zeta from using the citizens as fuel for the Functionist war machine.
Confounded by the strict formality within the ranks of the Decepticon army, Hot Rod is fiercely determined to preserve as much Nyonian culture as he can. When an Autobot saves his life during an intense battle, Hot Rod vows to uphold the Nyonian life-bond tradition to save his life in return.
If only the big colorful idiot wasn’t making it so damned difficult!

When Betty Brandt told the acadec team this theory, at first, they laughed. Stopped for a moment of consideration and collectively looked out the window. Peter was running down Midtown’s stairs to an Audi R8, with his top few shirt buttons undone and designer sunglasses across his face. They watched a large guy in a suit step out the car and attempt to tame Parker’s curly mop before pushing him in the backseats. A moment of silence lasted as the car drove away before the entire academic decathlon team dragged in a breath and realised, “huh. This explains everything.”
OR Peter Parker never tells anyone about Spiderman. Or his internship. Or his photography job. Or faking being an escort. Obviously according to Parker luck everything goes tits up.
