Buck pushed the plane past Mach 1 and was rounding on Mach 1.5, enjoying the roar of the engine and the steady vibration of the plane under him. He loved the feeling of flying; the strange part of him felt grounded the higher he went, more connected to himself the more altitude he gained.
The F18 responded beautifully to his every touch, going faster or slower with barely more effort than a thought.

(Finney Blake has been given the chance to prevent any of the kidnappings from ever happening, Finney sets out with the goal of only saving the other boys from The Grabber. But along the way he grows closer with all of them, and maybe gets his shot to say something that was left unsaid.
Essentially the Time Travel Fix-It, modern retelling that I was in desperate need of, and hopefully others are as well.

The sword at his neck skims across his skin as Dream shifts his grip on it, and he flinches back into the rough bark behind him. Dream smiles at his reaction, seeming pleased- like the cat that’s been toying with a mouse that always tries to run no matter how many times it’s caught. And, despite this being his first encounter alone with the man, he thinks that the comparison is fairly accurate; Tubbo has never felt smaller than he does now. There’s supposed to be a buddy system to prevent things like this- he shouldn’t be alone here, stuck in this situation.
