Dream exhaled. He was braced against the doorway, and even from several paces away Phil could see him shaking. “Why do you care?”
“I don’t,” Phil said, pulling himself upright again and refolding his wings behind him. “Let’s make that very, very clear: I do not care about you. But I do care about Techno, and he wanted me to make sure you’d still be here when he woke up. So — did you eat something today?”

A complete understatement if you were to ask Technoblade. His fingers tighten their grip on the wooden shaft of the shovel. His black eyes stared down at the pit they dug out in the woods- six feet deep. His blonde counterpart huffed, hands running through his greasy hair. Techno twisted around to look at the heap of incriminating evidence that laid behind them. “We’re royally fucked, Dream.” Techno amended the previous statement.
“Why did you do that?” Dream cried in exasperation. His arms clutching his triceps; as if he were trying to make himself appear smaller. Techno stared at the blonde, no emotion evident on his face while Dream’s lips curled downwards at the memories of what happened 3 hours prior.

Summary
In which Dream attempts to forge a new, prosperous life for his little brother Tubbo while combatting the constant dangers of survival and, gods forbid, socializing. Read along as Dream tries to start anew in a village where some guy with wings takes a liking to him, said guy's youngest son takes a liking to his little brother, and Dream is forced to confront his relentless fear of depending on others and has to learn how to let go of some responsibility.
Fun fact: The brainstorming Doc I have set-up for this is called "Dream's Daycare AU" because that's what this was originally supposed to be. Needless to say, it spiraled a little.
This series will (-hopefully, if I can maintain motivation) include various fics about Dream and Tubbo's journey to a new life, showing the development of their relationships to those around them, as well as some fun (or not so fun, because the angst potential is simply too high for this) little one-shots within this 'universe' I guess you could call it.

Summary
He’s not unfamiliar with this feeling, a heat that spreads through him like a wildfire. It eats away at his very being, numbing at first but slowly growing in intensity the longer the cause of it persists. Sometimes there is a sharp pain in his chest, sometimes his hands and feet grow fuzzy. Sometimes his throat burns and tears prick his eyes as he tries to breathe around a burning rock setting in his stomach. Sometimes it feels like he’s dying alongside his server.
The server has bee suffering and as its admin, Dream suffers with it. He’s been doing his best to push through but during a sparring match with Techno it all comes crashing down.

“A prisoner,” Sam says, speaking over the voices that have begun again at the reveal of the man. “And not just anyone, I’ll assure you.”
The general steps forward, boots click click clicking against the floor. The soldiers step back, leaving the bloodied man alone on his knees in the center of the room.
Everything is tense, silent, waiting to see what is happening. Dream is leaning forward, looking over a soldier’s shoulder as Sam takes another step, and grabs the man’s hair, and yanks his head up.
“Let me present to you, gentlemen. Thomas I. Watson, prince of the Antarctic Empire.”
...
or, Dream has been a prisoner of Essempi for years. But all of that changes when he's given a certain injured soldier to care for.

Summary
Dream sat under the birch tree, lost in thought as tears stained his cheeks.
If he could do it all again, things would’ve been different. He would’ve left L’Manberg alone, no matter if they were on his territory. He wouldn’t have blamed Tommy for all the server's problems and sent him to exile, he wouldn’t have pushed his friends away. Dream regretted it all, and that hurt so much worse than any of his wounds.
And yet…
Dream could feel himself healing. It was slow- prime, it was so incredibly slow and tiresome and annoying- but it was happening. There were setbacks, because of course there were. But Dream was getting better.
He was healing. And that was all he needed.
OR:
Dream is released from prison after months of torture, and goes off on his Disney Princess arc. Healing takes time, but he’s determined to try.

Summary
As far as everyone in Minecraftia is concerned, Nightmare is an evil copy of Dream, illegally created and only capable of causing chaos and destruction in his ambitions to kill and replace Dream. He's wanted throughout the Overworld, with a massive bounty on his head for any information that would lead to his capture and execution.
Technoblade comes across this villain fleeing from Piglins that use Dungeons technology to enter the Overworld. One thing leads to another, and the Avatar Who Never Dies is left with an unconscious Nightmare who now owes him a favor. But as time goes on with him living with the members of the Syndicate at the Arctic Anarchist Commune, Techno learns there's more to Nightmare than anyone was led to believe, and maybe there's a chance to rehabilitate the duplicate and teach him he can be more than just a shadow of Dream.

It was entirely possible that Eret’s name had been used to create a fake player ID. But no, Phil had double and triple-checked the sender address.
They were receiving communication from a Dream SMP member.
“So, uh, you answerin’ or am I?” Techno asked.
OR... Phil receives a mysterious request to rejoin the DSMP after fleeing the server with the Syndicate. Tasked with an near impossible quest and going in blind, the Syndicate arrives back to the SMP to find nothing is quite as they left it.
