Eventually, Shouto spots him. His eyes light up, raking up and down his suit, and he gestures for him to hurry up and come closer.
“You’re slow,” Shouto murmurs once he’s close enough.
“You came unnecessarily early,” Katsuki grumbles back, lightly bumping his shoulder against Todoroki’s.
Shouto hums quietly. He takes Katsuki’s hand in his, intertwines their fingers, and shrugs. “Mom wanted to come early to show her sister around,” he explains. “She also wants to say hi to you.”
Katsuki twitches at that. “Are you walking me to my death?”
“What?”
“Last time I saw your mom, we weren’t dating,” he says in a lower voice. “She’s gonna give me the shovel talk, isn’t she?”
Shouto gives him an amused look. “She’s not going to kill you.”
“Remember that when you find my dead body.”
He just huffs a laugh. “You’re being overdramatic. Come on,” he says, tugging Katsuki away from the wall, and he meets no resistance.
In which Bakugou is forced to attend the yearly party his agency hosts and not everything is as it seems.

Daichi’s cheek flutters as he pants. “T-Thank you, Sug.” Suga only hums. “I-I wanted to write you but...I didn’t...I didn’t want to hurt you anymore than I already had-”
“I would have loved it.” He speaks too quickly and Daichi leans back in his seat, eyes darting across Suga’s face. Daichi reaches out then and intertwines their fingers, Suga forcing his smile to stay just a while longer. “I missed you so much.”
“God, you have no idea-”
“Koushi.”
Suga’s blood turns solid as Waka stands at the door of the classroom. Every hair, every drop of blood in his body shakes and rattles and begs for Suga to run as he and Waka battle stares.
Suga quickly pulls his hands free from Daichi’s, leaping to his feet. He tosses out his hand to keep himself steady and Daichi reaches out to help when-“Keep your hands off of him, Captain.”
Kill me, now. Please kill me, now.

Summary
Post-apocalyptic Japan is pretty different from pre-apocalyptic Japan, but for Shouto, life goes on much the same way: he tries to steer clear of his overbearing, violent, douchebag dad; he looks for any hints as to where his older brother, Touya, disappeared to; he reads shitty romance novels and pretends depression hasn't ruined his life. When he gets kicked out of the community his father built, though, his entire life changes.
For the first time in his life, Shouto doesn't have his father breathing down his neck; but he might not live long enough to enjoy it. The wasteland outside of the community is dangerous and wild. Unsure of what to do, he finds himself traveling with a cheerful stranger named Hanta, who is returning to his own family of sorts. The two must learn to trust each other and fight to protect one another from the perils of the wasteland.
If Shouto's lucky, he'll find a real family of his own.
