Long ago, a prince followed a bird to the end of the world, seeking a feather to banish the darkness from his realm. Over the journey, he and the bird came to understand each other, and so when they finally saw the cradle of the sun, they parted as friends, so that the paths left behind by them would lead to the same last refuge of the lost and the forgotten.
In her fist, she found a spark of that very first sun, and so she would be burdened to carry it in her heart.

And sitting at the peak of this spire of knowledge sat its ruler; The Librarian of Death, who watched over all that her domain consumed.
And yet, even within this nest of knowledge and death, life still continued on, as with anywhere else in the City.
And among the life that persisted, there were the children; abandoned to the Library like the chicks of cuckoo birds into any strange nest.
Here we follow tale of one child who has no name, one of the many who carves out a life within the Library, who would grow into her own within this nest, and see what journey leads her to becoming the end of the Librarian of Death's reign of thirteen years.Series
